The sun had just begun to usher in the light of a new day into the still star-filled night sky, when Ashley groggily blinked open her eyes, taking in her surroundings in a sleep induced haze of confusion. Why the hell am I on the beach? She struggled to sit up, only to find herself pinned beneath the weight of someone who thought her body made a much better bed than tiny granules of sand ever could. A smile that could have riveled the most famous of stars settled on Ashley’s face as she looked down upon the blond head of her best friend that rested on her shoulder and noted that the only way she was going to be able to move was to actually wake the sleeping beauty up. Not that I mind waking to find myself pinned beneath her…"Hey Spence," the blonde stirred, but only grasped Ashley tighter, throwing her leg across the now very much awake girl’s waist. Okay. This is clearly not going to work. Gotta think of something…Ashley placed a soft kiss upon the top of Spencer’s head, her hands beginning an exploration she only hoped she would have the resolve to stop, as they sought to own the territory of Spencer’s body. The blonde’s breathing becoming increasingly labored until her eyes flew open, her face an open book of desire.
"Ashley. What. Are. You. Doing?" Spencer managed to get out in an almost pained whisper.
"Me?" Ashley effected her most innocent look. "I’m only waking you up and–" Her words were left hanging on the cliff edge of her tongue as Spencer closed the gap between the two of them, kissing Ashley with such tenacity that the brunette wondered how she could ever have been fooled into thinking she had loved another girl before the one that was with her this morning. Ashley felt the soft skin of Spencer’s hands as they slid beneath her shirt, following the countours of her body, seeking any form of phsyical contact. A moan sounded deep in the throat of the dark-haired girl and it seemed to bring her back into the present. "Spence," she pulled away, "you have no idea how much I want to do this right now," God. You have no idea. "but…we’re on a beach. In public. In what is soon to be broad daylight."

I really like this story, but I have to disagree with Alarmclock, the best line is “Isn’t that funny, because so was I.” I just about died when I read that, great, great line. Please post more soon!
