Who said life was easy?
NPOV
I jumped on my quad, started it up, and listened for which way the noise came from. It was coming from the left, so I followed. I rode for about 5 minutes and stopped to listen again. I was getting closer. I rode for about another and then stopped it. I heard this loud BANG like boulders crashing into each other. No way. I thought. We're nowhere near the mountain side where the rocks fall. I got off and started walking. I knew I was in the right direction. As I was walking, I'm thinking to myself, Wow, I'm fucking retarded. This is how the white bitches with big boobs die in horror movies. At least I died my hair black and I'm not blond anymore. Never follow the sound. So what made me follow the sound? Who the fuck knows.
I came into this HUGE clearing with this beautiful house. Windows everywhere. Huge glass windows. They looked like they were the walls of the house. This house was never here, though. How did I know? I don't take this trail, and from the road you'd never be able to see this house. I walked up. Fuck it, why not? They're in Otisville. Everyone knows everyone else in OV, might as well introduce myself, and fuck it, if I get killed these fuckers will get caught. Fresh quad trails coming here with my quad in the back. I started walking closer to the back of the house and I heard another loud crash.
"EMMETT, what are you doing? What the fuck is wrong with you?" A female said. Her voice was like music yet abrasive.
"Haha sorry, babe. Looks like were gonna have to get you a new engine" A male voice said. This one was hard, strong, full of life and laughter, though.
"You two are ridiculous. I'm going outside." Another female voice said. This was different. Sweet, small and childlike, but she wasn't a child.
I was so mesmerized by how perfect their voices were that I stood still, not registering through my brain that one was coming outside.
"Oh my God. HI!" The sweet voice said to me. She was the sister, I think, to the wackadoodle who stared at me at Price Chopper today.
