The next morning I was walking Spencer to class again. It felt good to have her happy with me.

Spencer: “So, I talked to my parents and told them everything. My dad is ok with everything, but my mom is being difficult. She still has her heart set on separating us, but my dad says you should come over for dinner tonight.”
Ashley: “I want to go.”

Spencer looked so excited.

Spencer: “Really?”
Ashley: “Yes. As long as I am able to see you. I want to spend every second I can with you.”
Spencer: “I’m so happy. Ok, well after school we can go straight over there. If you want to. We will have a few hours to kill, but maybe I can give you a proper tour of the house.”
Ashley: “Sounds perfect.”

I sat through my next few classes waiting for lunch to get here so I could see Spencer again. I wonder if she thinks about me as much as I think about her. God I hope not. Her grades will start slipping if she does.

It was lunch time and I saw Spencer. I walked over to her and we found a table together. We weren’t there long before Aiden came walking over. He sat down at the table with us.

Aiden: “Hey, Spencer. Ash.”
Ashley & Spencer: “Hey.”
Aiden: “So, how ya feeling Ash?”
Ashley: “A lot better. I never got the chance to say it, but thank you for everything. I don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t been there.”
Aiden: “No problem. Just glad you’re ok.”

I leaned over and hugged him. I really was grateful. However Maddison wasn’t so grateful to see us hugging. She stormed over and started blowing up on us.

Maddison: “Oh, I see Ashley is interested in guys today. How cute, but Aiden already has someone. ME!”
Ashley: “I just thought for old times we could hook up again. You just can’t stand that he liked being with me better. Poor thing. She’s always so threatened by me, but uh, who wouldn’t be?”

Aiden laughed at that. You could clearly tell he didn’t want to be with Maddison.

Maddison: “That must say something about Aiden if he likes being with dykes. I’m so through with you. Have fun with Ellen.”
