Strolling up towards the SUV, Dano had no warning when she was blindsided by a body bigger than her own. Being lifted into the air, she immediately realized who was crushing her in a bear-hug. “Playboy!”

“Dano! Where have you been man? I haven’t seen you in like, forever!” Aiden replied enthusiastically as he set her back on the ground.

“Well you know where I’ve been. I just had to deal with some things before I stepped back into the real world.” her gaze strayed from the smiling face in front of her to the curious stare coming from Ashley as she walked towards the two of them with Spencer in tow. “I see my car is still here and in one piece.”

Speaking in this code always made life easier for the two of them. It meant not having people privy to certain pieces of information that could compromise one thing or another. The convenience had proved itself an asset in their pasts for grave situations as well as moments like this. At that moment, it wasn’t life or death but rather a time when both weren’t ready to divulge everything, even to their closest friends.

“You know I wouldn’t let anyone touch your baby.” the brunette replied with a slight quirk of the eyebrows. The facial expression was really a silent question, ‘how did everything go?’

Dano gave a thumbs up, “I knew you wouldn’t let me down.” Turning her attention towards Spencer who was currently staring at Ashley like a starving dog stares at a pork chop, she eased her hand forward and snapped her fingers in front of the girls face, causing her to jump back in surprise.

Everyone had a good laugh at her jumpiness. The tallest girl placed a hand on the blonde’s shoulder. “You ok there Pez?”

Spencer scowled playfully until she let out a giggle of her own. “Yeah I’m fine.”

“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!” a man with a bullhorn and a nasily voice erupted over the music.

“Crap, it’s Principal Rogers.” Aiden yelled over the screaming students who were flooding out of the parking lot.

“Well I think that’s my cue to get the hell out of here. I’ll probably see you guys tomorrow so peace out!” she said as she jumped back into her car and turned down the music. Honking loudly, she got the random kids to move out of the way and tore out of the parking lot while teachers yelled for her to stop the damn car.
