“Let’s find a spot, the parade’s about to start.”  Aiden gathered everyone and ushered them to a small clearing behind a mass of people.

Twenty minutes later the first float made its way past them, Mickey and Minnie Mouse were deemed the Grand Marshals this year.   Michelle and Riley whined as they were unable to see from their positions.  “Kase, can you grab Michelle and sit her up on my shoulders, please?”  Ashley asked, kneeling next to Spencer.

The short haired brunette picked up the small child and placed her gently on Ashley’s shoulders.  The older Davies sibling stood and was immediately thanked by the young girl.  From this height Michelle could see the parade perfectly.

Kasey knelt as Ashley had done and called out to Riley.  “Alright JR, hop on.”  The young boy enthusiastically launched himself onto her back and crawled up onto her shoulders.  Thankfully neither of the children weighed much making things easier on Ashley and Kasey.

“JR?”  Spencer asked, quirking an eyebrow.  “Jedi Riley.”  Kasey smiled broadly.  ‘You can’t possibly get any cuter than those two, honestly.’  The young blonde grinned watching her cousins interact with Ashley and Kasey.

The crowd cheered and whistled as Spongebob’s massive float drove by followed closely by Scooby Doo and the crew from the cartoon Rocket Power.  Both Michelle and Riley sat wide eyed and amazed never having witnessed such a parade in their lives.

Halfway through the parade, Kasey looked up at the young boy on her shoulders.  “Hey JR, tell your sister to…”  She whispered the remaining of her plan into his ear.  Kasey scooted closer to Ashley and let the young boy talk to his sister.  Michelle brought a small hand up to her mouth and cupped it trying not to laugh.  She looked down at Kasey and giggled while nodding.

Riley and Kasey pulled away slightly and watched as Michelle prepared herself.  The young girl wriggled her fingers and placed them in Ashley’s perfectly coifed brown curls.  Kasey smiled and gave her a subtle thumbs up to continue.  Riley watched on happily, nearly forgetting about the parade.

Michelle then quickly swished her hands around in Ashley’s curls, messing up her hair from root to tip.  The brunette’s hair puffed up as she yelped and glanced up at the young girl.  “Hey you!  What do you think you’re doing?”
