Bette: Good morning Mandy, Happy New Year! How were your holidays?
Mandy: Fantastic. The kids had a great Christmas and I loved having two three day weekends in a row.
Bette: Well hopefully I’m over my jet lag. Do I have any pressing appointments today?
Mandy: No, I’ve kept it light, you are greeting the school kids today. 10am.
Bette: Good that’s a great way to get the juices flowing again.
Mandy: Yea, this is young group, 3rd graders so they’ll be full of life and questions.
Bette: Oh, this should be fun. Let me start on the backlog of messages and let me know when to head down.
Mandy: OK boss lady.
Bette: We’ll be changing over the show in March so things should heat up here soon. Let me get started. I plan to be out on time today.
Mandy: Me too.
Bette and Mandy work through the back log of phone messages, emails and requests that have come in over the past two weeks. The start of the New Year brings in requests for special tours, etc. so they sort those into relevant piles and will address them in about two weeks when the piles should be just about complete.
Mandy: I’m going to grab some lunch but won’t be gone too long.
Bette: Take your proper break. I have something here so I’ll just keep working.
They are very busy in the afternoon. Tina calls in at about 3pm, her lunch time.
Mandy: Hey Bette, Tina is on line 1.
Bette: Hey baby how are you today?
Tina: I’m doing well, got Angelica off to day care without any issues today; she loves it there.
Bette: Well I’ll have to see if she’ll talk to me about that tonight. Just call before bed time if she’s up for it.
Tina: What did you have for lunch?
Bette: Don’t worry, this isn’t the same Bette. I cooked breakfast this morning and had yogurt, fruit and a bagel for lunch. I did some grocery shopping yesterday so I’ll cook dinner when I get home tonight
Tina: Glad to hear it baby. I just wanted to check in while I had a moment. We’ll call you online tonight.
Bette: OK T, I love you.
