A Choice Is Made Chapter 37
Bette: I’m hoping we can find another wood puzzle or other wooden item unique to Vermont.
Tina: We could look at the dollhouses.
Tina giggles as Bette opens the door for her family to enter.
Angelica: Toys! Yay Toys!
Bette: You would think she doesn’t have have a toy chest full at home.
Sales Clerk: Never too many toys.
Bette: Well today she gets to pick one. I was kind of hoping something from Vermont. She has a wooden puzzle that she enjoys so perhaps something like that.
Tina: Well I’m her dolly Mommy so in addition to whatever she selects I’d like to get her a doll.
Angelica: I want dolly.
Tina: Mommy’s going to find you a pretty doll baby.
Angelica: Thank you Mommy.
Bette: We should try to find something for Wilson and Jung Ling here too. Jung Ling is definitely a dolly girl too. I’ll be looking for a 9 year old boy as well.
There are two clerks in the store one stays with Bette and Angelica. The other clerk takes Tina to the wall of dolls. Bette and Angelica find the perfect toy: a riding wooden puppy. Bette knew the baby should have something to ride in the apartment and this would be perfect for their wood floors and would something they’d never use outside. Angelica was a champion rider and quickly scooted over to Tina. Tina just smiled down at her happy baby girl then gazed over at Bette who just shrugged her shoulders. Tina smiled back and shook her head in agreement; Angelica had a new toy and a new pet in one. Bette finds a lighthouse style cribbage board for Wilson. She also selects a fun deck of cards to go with it. She’ll play cribbage with him on Easter. Bette heads over to see how Tina is doing at the doll wall. They keep an eye on Angelica as she rolls along with her new toy.
Bette: Well I’m done how is the world of dolls?
Tina: Vast, way too many to choose from. It just dawned on me that Vermont is known for doll making. I wanted to get Jung Ling an Asian looking doll.
Bette: I noticed and ethnic doll section a little further down.

Lovely family GOSH love them
On a roll
Hee, the sales clerk agreed with me about Angelica. I really liked seeing Bette be a little stern with her about going to eat. It’d be hard for her to be so well-behaved if they didn’t correct her when needed
Lovely update. Thank you :)
