A Confrontation
Tina was impressed by my goals and ambitions and was very proud of where I was going in the future. She already had her BSN and had toyed with the idea getting her MSN. With her Master’s she could get a better job, and live without Eric’s support. She had yet to fully commit to the idea, she wasn’t totally sure that’s what she wanted. Getting her Masters was going to take a while, and she wasn’t sure she could do that with Jackson. I encouraged her to chase her dream, and that I would be there to help her.
As the night came to an end, Tina and I took a nice walk up and down the street. I carried Jackson, the little guy had fallen asleep and rested his head on my shoulder. We made small talk, but mostly walked in a contented silence, and as we held hands, my heart was beating so fast. I loved the way our hands automatically came together, as if two magnets drew them to one another. I walked Tina to her car and safely buckled Jackson in this car seat and opened the driver door for Tina. Tina got in a faced me, our eyes leveled with one other and she smiled. I ran my hands through her hair and pulled her to me. I planted the softest and sweetest kiss on her lips. She smiled at the end of our kiss, and pulled me into a more passionate kiss. As our kiss ended, after what seemed like forever, she held me close and rested her head on my shoulder and smiled with her eyes closed.
“I just want you to be happy,” I whispered.
“I know, and I am,” she whispered back, releasing a sigh, her hot breath on my neck turning me on slightly.
“I love you Tina.”
“I love you too,” she said to which I smiled. We reluctantly parted with the promise to see each other at The Planet for breakfast. Kit’s Sunday breakfast/brunches were famous in WEHO. I watched her drive away and smiled. I drove home on cloud nine and was a little sad Tina did not come home with me.
As Tina reached her home, she noticed the lights on. Her heart started beating rapidly as she saw Eric’s jeep parked on the street in front of the house. She parked in the driveway and pulled Jackson out of the car and walked in. She heard movement in the kitchen and walked towards the sound. Eric was leaning against the counter, drinking a beer.
