    I guess mom wasn’t okay with it after all…

    Okay. Bette says and she takes Tinas hand and they walk into the restaurant and find a table.

    Well, that went rather well, right? Bette asks smiling.

    Yeah, but its not over yet. Tina replies smiling.

    They check out the menu. Then Maxine walks up to the table and takes a seat across from Bette and Tina who are sitting next to each other.

    So what will you have? Maxine asks Bette and Tina.

    Ill have Chicken filet with basil sauce. Bette replies.

    Yeah, I think Ill take the same. Tina agrees.

    It will be a early dinner. Bette says and smiles.

    They tell the waiter what they want of both food and drinks.

    So, Tina I heard you are a photographer. Maxine asks.

    Yes, a freelancer. Tina replies.

    Its not a secure job is it? Maxine asks seriously.

    I make more than enough. Tina replies.

    So where do you live? Maxine continues her questioning of Tina.

    Bette starts to shift in her seat imagining where this is going.

    Actually I live in the same building as Bette, 2 floors down. Tina says.

    That is convenient. Maxine replies.

    MOM. Bette says angrily.

    When did you move there? Maxine asks.

    About 4 months ago, I dont understand why you need to know that? Tina asks. Looking from Maxine to Bette, Bette looks worried.

    I like to know everything concerning my daughter. She Maxine says smiling to Bette.

    Mom, stop it. Bette says her voice now tensed up.

    Bette, dont interrupt me. Maxine throws back.

    How did you meet Bette? She continues.

    Tina looks from Maxine to Bette one more time. And carefully she tells.

    Here at the club. I was doing a photo shoot for Womens Fitness with Dana, and I had to go back the next day with the photos, and Dana was having lunch with Bette, she asked me to join them and I did. Tina explains clearly, trying to get Maxine to back off a bit.

    Are you after her money? Maxine finally asks the question shes been wanting to ask from the start.

    NO. Tina says raising her voice.

    MOM, Stop it. Can I talk to you in your office? NOW. Bette says and starts to get up.

    No, Im not finished. You were married and happy Bette, youre not a *****. Your career will be over. Have you talked to Greg lately? Maxine asks looking at Bette, who is now turning red. She sits back down again, and then she realize.

      Well, well, I was naïve before believing in Bette’s mother’s relative understanding. Unfortunately, this sort of reaction must happened very often in life…
      What a treacherous way to let her daughter think everything will be ok, when in fact she already prepared Greg’s come back and inquisitive questions for Tina…
      As others, I’m so proud and happy about Bette’s vehement reaction – something I would have also wished to see with Melvin, in Season 1.

      Marvellous work, Lauren ! … how do you say “congratulations” in Norwegian ?
