Noah has fallen asleep, sucking his thumb.
“Maybe, I’ll take him back to bed.” Tina says and picks him up and carries him back into his room. She meets Jessie in the hallway. Jessie follows Tina.
Out in the living room.
Julia stands and walks over and takes a seat next to Bette.
“You okay?” Julia asks.
“Yeah, I’m fine, a little scared, but fine.” Bette replies.
“I’m sure it’s nothing.” Julia says.
“Yeah.” Bette says and gives Julia a small smile.
They sit in silence a few moments.
“Mom? Are you sure, you’re not mad at me?” Julia asks. “I mean, it’s okay if you are. I’m mad at me.” Julia says. Bette smiles again and put her arm around Julia.
“Honey, I’m not mad at you, you did your best. Math isn’t for everybody, just like arts and creativity isn’t for me, but Tina is a champion at it. But we can learn, and that learning process varies from person to person Some learn fast, others need more time. You’ll get it.” Bette says.
“I’ll pay you back for the extra semester.” Julia says.
“No, absolutely not. You’re not paying me back. You are my daughter and it’s my job to pay for your education and also my honour.” Bette says
“Yeah, some honour, I’m failing.” Julia says.
“Julia, look at me.” Bette says.
Julia looks at Bette.
“I’m proud of you, you’ll take your time. Okay?” Bette says.
“Okay.” Julia says. Bette give Julia a hug.
Jessie and Tina walks back into the living room.
“Hey, Jules, ready to go home?” Jessie asks.
“Yeah.” Julia replies and stands up. So does Bette.
“Will you call tomorrow and tell us how it went with Noah?” Jessie asks as she hugs Tina.
“We will.” Tina replies.
Jessie and Julia leaves.
The next day, both Bette and Tina wakes up almost at the same time. Tina from the clock and Bette from Tina’s soft kisses.
“Ah baby.” Bette moans as she turns around facing Tina.
Tina smiles and put her hand on Bette’s face. Bette opens her eyes and looks into Tina’s eyes.
“I love you so much. Promise me that you will be my strength if Noah’s sick again, promise to hold me up, promise to hold my hand through it all.” Tina says, suddenly turning very serious.

Man, although I enjoy drama, but this is too much … please pretty, don’t let them go through hell again.

For God’s sake at least tranquilize the little guy this time. That’s really how they do it now… really, especially with the little kids. Please……
This family needs to catch a break every now and then. Noah has been kicked from one side to the other with this illness. Hopefully it is an infection that can be healed and not cancer again. I am enjoying Julia and Bette continuing to get to know one another and that Bette treats Julia as her daughter.
Damn why the drama never end!

Great story..very realistic about Julia not graduationg on time, well for me at least. I’m joining the choir, and saying, b&t should be happy, at least for a while. TOo many happy belena’s and Danish outhere, I only care about a happy B&T.
