Tina woke up and reached over to touch Bette and only found a cold bed.  Panic arose from deep within her.  Where was Bette?  Did yesterday not happen?  Was last night all a dream?  No, no, it couldn’t be; she was in Bette’s bed and in the pajamas that she had gotten for her years ago.  She heard something, listened carefully and realized that it was a voice coming from the kitchen.

Bette felt soft arms wrap around her from behind and a soft kiss on her shoulder blade.

“You left me.”  Tina whispered.

“T, I will never leave you.” She whispered back then turned around in Tina’s arms to face her.  She kissed Tina on the nose.  “Good morning T.”

Tina giggled at the sensation of Bette’s lips on her nose.  “Good morning baby.”

Bette just smiled, “You seem awfully comfortable calling me baby.”

“I am, deal with it.”  Tina smirked.

“Didn’t you wake up in a funny mood this morning?”

“Why yes I did and I haven’t felt this rested in a really long time.”

“I might have a reason for that.  Its 11 am.”

“What do you mean its 11 am?  And why do you have my phone?” Tina stood there working it through in her head, “Oh shit, I was supposed to get Angie at 9 am from Kit’s.

“Well, I have your phone because the phone was ringing next to you and before I remembered that it was your phone I had answered it and Kit was on the other end.  It turns out that Kit was calling because she was worried that something had happened to you since you hadn’t showed up to pick Angie up and it was two hours after the scheduled time.  Thank god it was Kit and not someone like Alice.  There would be no words that could explain away why I had your phone if it had been Alice and we would never live it down.”

“What did Kit say?  How’s Angie?”

“She said we could pick her up later and that they were watching Dora having a good time.”

“Good, Angie loves Dora.”

“Tina,”

“Yes Bette?”

“We are so busted, Kit knows that you slept here and figured it out that you didn’t sleep in Angie’s room or on the couch.”
