Bette and Tina broke away from the kiss and looked deeply into each other’s eyes; they saw through the past pains, the failures, and the successes to the love that was shining through it all.

“Bette,” Tina said quietly not wanting to break the magic of the moment “Can we go to Kit’s and get our daughter.  I really would like to spend the day with my family.”

Hearing that statement Bette beamed, “There’s nothing that would please me more than to spend this beautiful Saturday with my family.  How about I go and get dressed, we can leave your car here, pick up Angelica then go to your place so you can change your clothes.  Or do whatever you’d like to do.”

“Okay, but the only other option is for me to borrow your clothes.  I guess I am being paranoid but I’d much rather go with your plan just in case we decide to stop somewhere I will be in my own clothes.  I don’t want anyone knowing that we spent the night together and I don’t want to hinder what’s going on between us by anyone knowing.”

“That’s understandable.”

“This is just so new we don’t even know what the fuck we’re doing.  I want to get things settled between us before we let the gang in on it.”

“I 100% agree T.  Let’s give it time and when it’s right we’ll let the girls know.  I’m pretty sure that Kit does know already.  She knows me to well not to have figured it out this morning when I picked up your phone.”

“It’s fine for Kit to know, she is your sister but she’s the only one I want to know for now.  How about you go and get dressed, and I’ll go get cleaned up in the bathroom; then we’ll go get Angie.”

Thirty minutes later Bette was dressed and Tina was sitting on the couch flipping through one of Bette many art magazines.

“T, you ready?”

“Yeah, I just need to move my car from behind yours.”  She grabbed her purse and keys and headed out the door with Bette following.

They arrived at Kit’s and were greeted by an extremely happy two and a half year old.
