Bette knew that something was wrong with Tina, she just couldn’t figure out what it was.  The day had been going so good, they had talked about some important things and both had survived.  Now they were together with their daughter spending the day with her and Tina was quiet.  ‘Did she not want to spend the day together?  Was her mind changed about trying with their relationship again?’  A million different things were going through her head and none of it was good.  ‘Just what was going through Tina head?’  Bette wondered.

In the apartment Tina was looking for a bathing suit, stood there staring into her drawer not making any decisions about which one to bring.  She just couldn’t decide between a one piece and a bikini.  She still wasn’t all that comfortable with Bette seeing her body the way it was since Angelica was born.  Granted she had recently swum at Bette’s in a bikini and had removed her top to sunbathe but it was somehow different now.  She grabbed both and a sarong, looked around the home that she had made for her and Angie and headed back out to car to return to the home that she had lived in for seven years and was Angie’s first home.

Tina quietly got back into Bette’s car and buckled herself in with not s much as a word to Bette.  Bette looked over at Tina knowing that something was wrong but not knowing how to bring it up.  She decided to just jump in and open up the conversation although it scared her shitless over what Tina could be thinking she knew that they needed to talk about it.  This fresh start wouldn’t last if they didn’t keep the lines of communication open.

“T, are you okay?”

Tina didn’t respond for a few minutes, but then spoke.  “Yeah I guess so.”

“You were awfully quiet on the drive from Kit’s to your place.  I can tell something is bothering you.  You can tell me you know.  No matter what it is you can trust me.  I won’t judge you.”

Tina continued staring out the window then quietly spoke “I heard you.”

“T, you heard what?”

“I heard you talking to Kit.”
