A Leap Of Faith (Chapter 2)
Chapter 2:
Previously…
Dana: So…
Before Dana even has a chance to talk, Alice looks away quickly… she knows what Dana is going to ask, and there is no way that the writer can even begin to explain herself, so instead she cuts her off, making excuses about work and having to get back to see Tina. Alice grabs her stuff and mumbles to Dana that she’ll catch up with her later before she heads for the door. For the second time that day Dana was left on her own, to silently contemplate the confused emotions and messages running between herself and her best friend.

Two weeks later…
“T… Tina? Are you home?” Alice called as she walked through the corridor of her apartment, searching for her new room-mate.
As Alice entered the kitchen, she noticed a note on the table:
Alice,
Don’t worry! I’ve just gone out to the shops to get some milk; I used the last of it this morning in my coffee, sorry… I won’t be long, thanks for everything…
Tina x
Alice smiled as she read the note, realising that Tina was going to be ok, she still wasn’t confident enough to risk running into Bette at The Planet; hence her drinking coffee at home, but she just needed some time and support to get her head together. Alice sat down at the table and put her head in her hands, ‘Fuck… what am I gonna do? Everything is so fucked up at the minute…’ Alice sighed heavily as she felt the familiar sting of tears in the back of her eyes. Before she could stop herself, Alice was sobbing into her hands, releasing all the confusion and frustration that had been weighing heavily on her for the past few months.
It wasn’t that Alice didn’t want Dana to be happy, Alice wasn’t even jealous of Tonya; she couldn’t understand why Dana made her feel the way she did, but she knew that this wasn’t a temporary crush… She was falling in love with her best friend, and it scared the life out of her. Love was meant to hit you and send you flying through a maze of ecstatic emotions, but instead Alice felt like her heart was gripped in a vice, being tortured to suppress any risk that she might let Dana know how she really felt.

Hey! Another great chapter and I’m loving the tension! I agree that it seems longer when you’re typing it, but keep it coming!
