A long winding road
Tina felt this pain was never to go away; she was sure of that with the same conviction she knew she would always love her, that didnt make a difference though, because deep down she also knew time erase it all, love and pain in equal measure. For now that was keeping her a float, she was desperate to hold to her pain because that was what was making her stand; and not fall on her knees and crawl back to where she really wanted to be, to whom she really craved.
Yet another night was rolling, her sleepless mind didnt seem to care for time anymore, she felt like she wanted a cold slurpee, she felt like she wanted to die.
Tears moistened her eyes but she refuse wipe them, she refuse to stop making circles on her belly she love the feeling, it calm her.
First thing in the morning she was to see Dr Wilson, since the moment she made the appointment she had wanted to tell Bette, she had to keep reminding herself she did this alone and that was how she was going to end it.
An hour and forty minutes later Tina was driving though the neighborhood, she was to go for a slurpee, she was to tell Bette they were pregnant. That didnt meant she forgive her, she repeat in her head, just meant that she conceived it thinking on Bette and she at least deserved to know first. From her lips. At 2 am in the morning, because she might change her mind if she waited for the sun light, that was the right thing to do, right?
Bette walked into the planet, deep breaths didnt help to calm her nerves, she had seen Tina walk in so she knew she was there. Sweaty palms and all she made herself go inside and there she was, surrounded by friends, with one look at her expression Bette knew it wasnt going to work, she had seen that expression before, she knew it all too well. She gives it a try anyway.
Tina asked a simple question, Bette didnt see it coming, didnt thought much of it, caught in her own drama, but the second question instantly remind her of the intelligent woman she had in front of her, she sometimes forget it, she was forgetting one too many things these days, those slips had her standing in the middle of a full coffee shop begging for forgiveness.
