    It was the first of our many meetings in that office. That office where we first gave in to each other. God I loved that office…that office. It was hard to go back and have to lie to Bette about letting them go. It was the only lie I ever told her. Lies came easy for Bette….Lies like she had an affair with Carmen back in their days at Quantico.

     

     

    She claimed she didn’t think it would matter. She claimed that it didn’t matter because “that Carmen” didn’t exist anymore. She said she did it to spare my feelings, she said it was better that I didn’t know. She said it was for my own good.

     

     

     Me all I felt was hurt. All I felt was that she had no idea of what my own good was. She didn’t know anything about my feelings and I felt bitter and used. Another one of Bette Porter’s conquests. At the time covered in blood standing defeated in her office…that office that was the centerpiece of our “thing” all I could think was she had no idea of what love or sacrifice was………..

     

     

     

     

    “Oh my god……… Tina…..”

     

     

    “It’s not mine….”

     

     

    “Then whose is it….what happened? Where is Carmen…..Shane…the little boy…?”

     

     

    “The blood is Shane’s…..he shot her….well he shot at Carmen….and Shane…moved…and she got hit….Marco ran over and……. He took Carmen in place of Marco….and he …he….drove off and Shane went after him.”

     

     

    “Where is Marco?”

     

     

    “I can’t tell you…”

     

     

    “Tina what do you mean you can’t tell me?”

     

     

    “Shane asked me not to…..”

     

     

    “Tina sit down…calm down…you aren’t making any sense….”

     

     

    “They are gone…..that’s all I know……why didn’t you tell me about Carmen?’

     

     

    “What do you mean?”

     

     

    “You and Carmen….before she lost her memory and Helena Peabody…you and Carmen were lovers why didn’t you tell me?”

     

     

    “We can’t talk about this now…we need to find them and find this………. Conrad Voynow….”

     

     

    “Bette…why do you always do this….why do you change the subject…you do it all the time?’

     

     

     

    ‘Tina….. Shane is hurt. They have broken at least 50 different laws hunting this guy down and you helped them….you aided them…you kept key pieces of evidence from me….never mind the Bureau and all you want to do is talk about how once upon a time in a faraway place I got it on with a woman who no longer exists…..where are your priorities?”

    1. I like the idea of A.D. Porter, reminds me of Law&Order. That rhymed. Good update. I’m loving Shane and Carmen in this, but the mood of the story feels like wading through molasses. In a good way though. I feel like I’m waiting for an explosion despite Marco having been kidnapped. PPS!

    2. Great update. I love the fact that we have a third person view on Shane and Carmen. it’s refreshing. Ans also good for drama. And I have to say that you really make me wonder what happen to the star of this story. I was so seeing Tina speaking to Bette with flash of what happen just like in a movie, lol. Very good job.

    3. You never cease to amaze… I like how you previewed what we have to look forward to, and then filling in the gaps. I get that Tina would be jealous, hell I’m jealous of the two. Can’t wait to find out who this Conrad fella is!!

    5. Love, LOVE this. But please, pretty please, don’t turn into “yet another TiBette” story. There are so many of them out there and so little quality Sharmen fanfic (sorry if I’m offending anyone, this is just my opinion), it would suck if that happened…It’s good however to introduce “new” characters so keep going ! Thanks for writing all this :)

    6. Oustanding chapter! Although I must admit I am confused as hell now. I love your writing and I am sure you will help us sort this out in the next chapter. Even in their darkest hour they still reach out for each other and keep the passion alive.
