    Chapter 20

     

    Bette wiped the tears from Tina eyes and wrapped her arms around her and held her close.

     

    “T, I promise it won’t be for too much longer ok? You’re almost done with school, I want you to finish school T, then we can figure out something more permanent ok?   I’m keeping my options open maybe I’ll be able to move to California soon, my contract with MOMA is up next year  I have an option for another 18 months on my contract and I don’t think I’m not going to take it. I want to go back home, I wasn’t going to  say anything until it was a sure thing but I’m meeting with the Director of the CAC and The Getty tonight  I might be on their short list for potential Director T, I might be able to go back home soon.”

     

    “Oh my God Bette, really?”

     

     

    “That’s great I’m so happy for you Bette, running your own Gallery, and better yet, you can come back home! That’s so awesome babe!”

     

     

    “Tina, don’t get too excited ok, I didn’t want to get your hopes up, there is still the issue of my contract with MOMA, I know for sure Franklin won’t release me from it, I make him look to good the lazy fat ass.  They would need to be willing to wait for my contract to be over if they were really serious on hiring me and I don’t know if they would be willing to do that”

     

     

    “Of course they will Bette, your great at what you do”

     

     

    “Yeah what I do, that Franklin takes all the credit for.”

     

     

    “Happy thoughts Bette, happy thoughts”

     

     

    “Yeah well all my happy thoughts are reserved for you” Bette smiled

     

     

    “I love you so much T, thanks for being here today it means the world to me I know how hard you worked to able to be here for me and I love you even more for that”

     

     

    “Bette you don’t have to thank me, I’ll always be here for you no matter what, first and for most you’re my friend, then my lover, and friends are always there for each other, I’ll do anything and everything for you”

    8. Hey iluvmuzic, Bette and Tina are just so perfect together. It was so touching that Bette was prepared to let Tina go if it meant that Tina was happy. This self-sacrifice shows just how much Bette loves Tina.Their gentle teasing was sweet and innocent.It was pleasing to have Bette share her potential new job in LA and the difficulties this might bring. This really shows how well they are communicating. Tina has to know how serious Bette is about giving this relationship the best chances or surviving all eventualities.Comic relief was present when Alice and Dana added their two-cents about Bette and Tina’s relationship. Just adorable to have Bette be grumpy while Tee is away and then all soft and cuddlely when she is around.Then the visit to the jewelers was warm and fuzzy. Tina’s jealousy was cute. She was really riled with Bette and Julia’s familiarity.Bette’s gift was stunning and melted Tina’s heart instantly. Then Tina topped Bette with her gift.I ust can’t wait for the next chapter to read about their night; dresses, jewels and confrontations.Please continue soon. Much appreciation from Your Loyal Fan.
