“I know. I love him for being able to change, but sometimes I feel he holds it against me, even though the two of us were there the night he was conceived.”

“What an asshole,” I said and rubbed Tina’s stomach, “I bet you looked beautiful pregnant.”

“No,” she said, and blushed a bit, “I looked like a whale.”

“I want you to know,” I whispered in her ear, “that I do want kids.”

“Really,” she asked facing me.

“Yes really. Like four or five,” I said and she smiled.

We started kissing once again, and we held each other until night fell upon us. We both woke a little before eleven, even though I knew I’d see her at work the next day, Tina had to leave. My heart ached as she drove away for I knew then that I was in love with her.

I woke the next morning with a smile on my face. I had dreamt of Tina and knew that her beautiful smile was waiting for me when got to work.

As soon as I walked in I discovered I had a busy schedule. We had seven new admins and I was in charge again, Dana was out so it was on me to assign them and look their charts over. Dana had been out because she was having meetings and looking at office space. She was going to open her own sports therapy clinic and had been begging me to partner up with her. I was undecided about it with work and school going on. I was paged by Tina a couple of times, and I regrettably had to ignore them. I wasn’t able to have lunch, so Shane brought something up to me. As the afternoon went on I was getting a little frustrated by the work load and not being able to take a break. I got one last page from Tina, I decided to finally take a break and I made my way downstairs.

“Why haven’t you been answering my pages?”

“I have been too fucking busy. Dana not being here keeps me very busy,” I say and we stare into each other’s eyes. We kiss passionately only stopping for air. As we part, we make a promise to have dinner that night.
