A TiBette Love Story: Thoughts (3)

Tina’s thoughts were all over the place.  At this moment, she was lying in bed thinking about the events of the day.  She was physically exhausted but her body was so wired and unable to find sleep.

Her position as an executive at Alphaville had her extremely busy.  The firm was preparing for the launch of a new movie and she was still learning the ways of “Hollywood”…so different from her life back in North Carolina.

Tina was content in her relatively new environment, but those were the keywords ‘new’ and ‘content.’  She hadn’t really felt like she found her niche just yet.  She was meeting many people and there were always a million things to be done…but she hadn’t reached that point of elation or the comforting feeling of being home.

Tina recalled spending endless hours of her Saturday at her Alphaville office.  There were still many details that had to be fine tuned for the upcoming movie that some critics were slating as a blockbuster.  When she felt her hand begin to ache from the nonstop notes she had been taking and she caught herself yawning, she decided to call it a day.

Tina felt she deserved to hit the downtown area for a little sightseeing, window shopping and a light dinner.  Three hours later, she had accomplished all she set out to do.  In fact, she began to make the trek back to her car when the downpour began.  She was unsure if she should continue to sprint the seven blocks to her vehicle or run for cover.

Tina decided to go with the latter when she saw something that caught her eye.  It was a colorful piece of artwork being displayed through the glass windows of The Bette Porter Gallery.

Might as well get out of the rain and check out something interesting’ Tina smiled, making a run for the gallery doors.

And that’s when it happened.  Tina still was unsure what ‘it’ was…but she knew that she could not get the image of the brunette out of head.  She recalled how the attractive dark haired woman had walked with such grace yet speed to the door where Tina was knocking.  The woman was occupied with searching in her purse and opened the door with, “I seriously just want to go home!”
