Tina nuzzled her cheek against Bette’s neck as she felt her lover hold her protectively. Bette kissed the top of Tina’s head as the blonde pulled away slightly to grab the mocha colored hand that was on her waist.

She linked their fingers and held them suspended in the air, entranced with the contrast of their skin color. She brought the hands to her lips and lovingly kissed the back of Bette’s hand.

Bette looked at her with so much love and adoration, tears began to form in her eyes. Tina looked up and immediately grew worried. She unlinked their fingers to bring her hand to Bette’s cheek.

"What’s wrong my love?"

Bette swallowed, "I almost lost you today"

Tina felt uneasy, she should have known this was coming but wished it wasn’t during her afterglow.

"Bette . ."

Bette’s eyes were glassy but anger was consuming her features, "Why did you go out by yourself? Didn’t I tell you to stay within the castle walls?"

Tina pursed her lips and pulled away a bit, "Okay, I really don’t need a lecture right now. I’m fine Bette, you saved me the same as always"

Bette sat up and looked down at Tina, "Yeah but this time I almost didn’t make it. Fuck Tina, do you have any idea how scared I was?"

Tina’s expression dropped as she looked into Bette’s worried eyes. Bette always got upset when she was scared and Tina felt herself falling deeper in love with the brunette.

She crawled over to Bette and climbed onto her lap, straddling her and gently cupping her face.

"I’m sorry . . I guess I just hate being here all the time. I wanted to explore a little"

Bette sighed and wrapped her arms around Tina’s slender waist, "Yes but I can protect you here. I don’t mind you exploring, I love your adventurous nature but please don’t go anywhere without me. Jodi is ruthless . . she’ll do anything to you just to get to me"
