Against All Odds – Chapter 5

"ENOUGH! I SAID SHUT UP!" In one swift motion, Bette removed her sword from its sheath and swung it around to press it into the side of Jodi’s neck before the Empress even knew what hit her. Bette pressed so hard that the sword broke through the skin, a trickles of blood ran down Jodi’s neck. Bette was breathing heavily, trying to get herself under control as Jodi laughed like the madwoman she was.
"Oh my God, you love her! Look at your face, I can see it in your eyes. You love her don’t you?"
Bette didn’t move, she struggled to regain her composure and tried her best to hide her emotions. It was bad enough Jodi knew Tina and her were sleeping together but love was an entirely new scenario. Jodi saw the fire in Bette’s eyes and knew the statement was true. Bette was deeply in love with Tina. A fact that hurt the Empress more than she let on. Bette was hers, she wasn’t allowed to love anyone else.
Jodi’s smile disappeared and her tone was so cold it cut deep into Bette’s soul, "Maybe I should kill her. Love doesn’t suit you. I mean look at you . . you’ve gotten soft"
Bette breathed heavily and put a little more pressure on her sword just to show Jodi she was deadly serious, "All I have to do is flick my wrist. One flick and your head will roll"
A smirk on Jodi’s smug face and all Bette wanted to do was smack it off. God how she hated his woman.
"Now we both know that’s a foolish move. Don’t you care at all about your life? What about Shane’s?"
Bette’s eyes widened as Jodi’s words sank in. She had forgotten about one important aspect. Jodi kept her smirk as she stepped closer, extending a hand over Bette’s armor, over her left breast.
"Did you forget about this, pet?"
A soft pink glow illuminated from under Bette’s armor and a piercing pain shot through the brunette’s chest. She immediately dropped her sword and hissed in pain. She slapped a hand over her armor as the pain faded just as quick as it came leaving an intense heat in its place. Jodi’s smirk grew wider.

    4. OMFG!!!!! 😨 I had to read again to make sure I wasn’t going insane. Nix the Saw idea, let’s start from scratch. Let’s bring back quartering, using horses that is or mules in Jodi’s case. You are the Queen “B” (and I mean this with the utmost respect) of drama. Brilliant everything, loved it and want more. I’m on my knees typing this hoping you feel it. Thank you Miss Liah.
