"Do you really have to be such a show off?" She teased.

Bette smiled and watched as her lover trip her opponent and quickly straddled him, grabbing onto his neck and twisting it. There was a loud crack and soon the Breeon wasn’t moving anymore. Tina stood up and slapped her hands together as if she was cleaning away dust. Bette pursed her lips.

"Do you really have to be so close to your opponent?" Bette asked.

Tina smirked and shrugged her shoulders, "What can I say? I’m a hands on kind of girl"

Bette chuckled and shook her head as she fought two more Lyrus that charged her. Tasha had just finished stabbing a Boro that was attacking Alice when she yelled in frustration.

"Now would be the perfect time to decide what we do from here"

Bette called over her shoulder, "Hey Shane?"

She threw a dagger at the throat of a charging Gooru, "Yeah?"

"Remember when we escaped from the fortress?"

"Yeah . . ?"

Bette backed up so that she was standing beside Shane and motioned her head to the archways, "Waterfall"

Shane’s eyebrows raised, "Your kidding"

Bette cut a rope that was attached to the curtains on the stage and it fell upon more of the approaching army, "Unless you have a better idea"

Shane sighed, "You lead, I follow?"

"Wrong again old friend, you lead them"

Shane turned her head, "Not this time Bette . . you have to go first or we don’t go at all"

Bette sighed, "We don’t have time to fight about this. I’ll be right behind you this time I promise. I need to make sure Tina is safe but we’ll jump together, you have my word"

Shane hesitated but knew Bette was right, there was no time to discuss anything. Shane grabbed onto Carmen’s hand and motioned her head toward the archways.

"Follow me"

Tasha grabbed onto Jenny and Alice’s hands and led them in Shane’s direction, with Bette grabbing onto Tina’s. They edged their way toward the archways, fighting their way there.

"Can you swim?"

Tina glanced at Bette in confusion as she kicked a Breeon in his crotch, "Yeah if necessary . . why?"

Bette smiled as she tugged on Tina’s hand and ran toward the archway, the closer they got to the edge, the cooler the air got. Shane and the others must have already jumped because they were nowhere in sight. Carmen’s screams echoed as they neared, yup they jumped.

"Bette . . what are you doing?"

"Trust me, T"

Tina’s eyes widened as she realized what Bette had planned and her heart started to race. She trusted her lover with everything in her. The sounds of the army and the screaming high Council member were getting closer. Tina glanced over her shoulder and saw them approach. She looked forward just in time to see the ground disappear at her feet. She held onto Bette’s hand tightly as they fell down, down toward the cold water below. Tina was too scared to scream, it caught in her throat. She held her breath right before she hit the water with Bette at her side.
