    Jenny: Dana…

    Dana quickly turns toward Jenny, her eyes wide for a moment.

    Dana: Huh-wha?

    Alice: Oh, for Christ’s sake Dane, ask her!

    With Alice’s words blurted aloud for all at the table to hear, Dana feels a slight embarrassment.

    Gabby: You are crushing on her, aren’t you?

    Alice: Can’t get shit by you, Gab.

    Shane: Al.

    Alice: Just kidding, Gabby.

    Alice grins.

    Jenny: Why haven’t you asked her out yet, Dana?

    Dana: Oh my God, guys can we please talk about something else?

    Alice: Dana, your most recent ex-girlfriend is still Melanie Caplan.  That was how long ago?

    Dana: …

    Shane: Guys, maybe Dana doesn’t wanna ask anyone out.

    Gabby: Not with that look.

    Dana: What look?

    Gabby: That, ”I want to jump your bones right here at the Planet so bad, it makes me moist just thinking about it” look.  You know, that look.  The one you had right before Jenny got your attention.

    Dana: Okay, fine look… I’ll ask her.

    Alice: When?

    Dana: What do you mean when?

    Alice: I’m thinkin’ time table here.

    Gabby: Ask her before the end of Bette and Tina’s party.

    Dana: Tomorrow???

    Gabby: Mm-hm.

    Shane: Look, guys let’s just-

    Gabby: Tomorrow night.  Either before or during the party at Bette and Tina’s.  Or else I will.

    Alice’s eyes suddenly shoot over at Gabby.

    Gabby: I agree, Dana she is hot.  And she knows how to cook, which is a plus.

    Alice: Gabby…

    Jenny: She is a great chef.

    Alice: Not helping, Jenny.

    Dana: You wanna ask her out, too?

    Gabby: I don’t know.  Do I?

    Gabby tilts her head as she looks at Dana while doing her best to ignore the piercing stare from Alice.

    Alice: Seriously, Gabby?

    Shane: Hey!

    Everyone looks at Shane.

    Shane: Dana, ask her or don’t ask her.  Gabby, stay the fuck out of it.

    Gabby: So I’m not allowed to ask anyone out.

    Jenny is unable to call attention to Marina, who is busy at the counter.  Gabby stands from her seat.
