”You like to compartmentalize your life,” Bette sighed. ”It’s not as if I don’t know what I’m getting myself into.”
”But once my attention is on you, it will be entirely on you…”
”That’s a promise I’m looking forward to having you keep,” Bette said. ”On that note, I’m going to let you get back to work.”
”I thought you might see things my way,” Tina went back to her document. She looked up again. ”But the distraction was a welcome one.”
They reset their focus on what they had yet to complete, intrigued at how the rest of their evening might unfold.
Chapter 9
”I think that’s it for me,” Tina stretched her arms overhead after pushing back from the dining room table. ”By next weekend we’ll be working on nothing but minor details.”
”I have to finish this section,” Bette replied. ”I’ll be about 10 minutes.”
”I’m going to sit on the patio with a glass of water,” Tina stood to leave, but let her hand run across Bette’s shoulders as she passed by.
”Make that five minutes,” Bette corrected.
”No rush,” Tina replied. ”Our reservation isn’t for a couple hours.”
”And how will we possibly fill the time…”
”Lively debate?” Tina asked.
”You read my mind,” Bette smiled and turned back to her work. ”I’ll be out shortly.”
Tina poured herself a glass of water before exiting onto the patio and taking a seat in one of the lounge chairs. She had her eyes closed, and was enjoying the sensation of the sun on her face when she heard the sliding door open.
”Probably for the best we didn’t know this was the day we were having,” Bette commented.
”It’s beautiful,” Tina agreed. ”But we had work to do.”
”Done for the day though?” Bette asked.
”I’ve put enough time in today,” Tina replied. ”You?”
Bette sat on the lounge chair beside where Tina’s legs extended out in front of her. She reached her arm to rest on the other side of the chair.
”No more work,” Bette confirmed.
”I would rather stay in this evening,” Tina ran her hand down Bette’s arm. ”Unless you have your mind set on dinner out.”

I love how organize they are..even having sex…they should plan it before hand..:P thanks for the update.
I know you’re not big into the NC-17 chapters, but because they are so charming and amusing with their analytical foreplay, I would love to read how they act during sex. The writing is just fabulous!

Great update. They are as no-nonesense in talking about their intimacy together as they are talking about their work. Tina will need to move closer soon so their drive isn’t as long and they can spend more time together. I can hardly wait until Tina appears before the court and they can celebrate. Thanks for posting.
