Angelica began to cry as if she understood the implications of the convo.
Bette: “so what are you saying?”
Tina: “I’m saying that if you want to continue to see Angelica my clothes being there will no longer be an issue.”
Tina got up taking the crying Angelica from Bette’s arms. Bette too was left with some things to think about. Stevie came back over to Bette.
Stevie: “I take it that didn’t go well.”
Bette nodded no.
Stevie: “Home?”
She nodded yes and Stevie retrieved Xavier as they left.
Xavier: “Where’s Angie going?”
Stevie: “With her other mommy sweetie.”
Whey they returned home.
Stevie: “Bette I’m sorry about the room thing. I thought you knew.”
Bette: “It’s fine. Maybe you were right.”
Stevie: “Am I right only after talking to Tina?”
Bette: “That has nothing to do with it. Why does everything I do have to revolve around Tina?!”
Stevie: “Well all I know is one minute your moving me in and the next your claiming I’m right about not moving in. It doesn’t add up.”
Bette: “I just had time to think about things is all. We both have children to think about.”
Stevie: “What do the kids have to do with this? If anything this arrangement would be great for the both of them”
Bette: “I’m not sure it is.”
Stevie: “What are you talking about? How?”
Bette: “It just going to get everything confused. You can’t keep dragging Xavier back and forth and I can’t have Angelica getting comfortable with someone that might not always be around.”
Stevie: “Where the hell am I going?”
Bette: “I don’t know. Your with models and actresses all day and night. What is there keeping you here?”
Stevie: “Love!”
Silence.
Bette: “I know from experiences that sometimes love isn’t enough.”
Stevie thought for a second. This whole scenario sounded familiar.
Stevie: “You know what you’re just like everyone else. The second I let my guard down I get kicked in the balls. Every fucking time!”
The tears were welling up in Stevie’s eyes but she refused to let Bette see a single tear fall.
Bette: “I’m just trying to do what’s best for both of us.”
Stevie: “You’re doing what’s best for you! Shane was right; I wasn’t meant for monogamy and sure as hell not cut out for domesticity.”
Bette: “Stevie I’m sorry.”
Stevie: “there’s nothing to be sorry for. I’m actually the one that’s sorry. I’m sorry we wasted each others time.”
Stevie called Xavier from his room.
Stevie: “Come on X lets go.”
Xavier: “Where are we going?”
Stevie: “Home.”
She picked him up.
Xavier: “I thought we were home.”
Stevie: “No we definitely are not.”
Stevie headed out the back door as Xavier waved to Bette over her shoulder.
Xavier: “See you later Auntie Bette.”
She solemnly waved back to the little boy.
Bette: “Bye sweetie. Goodbye.”

vibes, would it be all right with you if I KILLED tina?? How dare she try to control Bette through the baby. Of course it’s her best weapon, but she really needs to drop off a cliff or something. This isn’t sounding like Shane..she is not this judgmental and meddlesome ever.

It wouldn’t have mattered if it was Stevie or Sally from the Valley…she is gonna have that same attitude…she wants to control and punish Bette and for what…she is not trying to get back with her. It just makes me so mad how she uses Angelica to play puppeteer with Bette. Bette should have packed her sh*t up and brought it to her with NO explanation. And what is Shane’s problem? Why is she trying to block her happiness? I mean just because you came from something in your past dosen’t mean your life can’t change for the better. Fix this Vibes…
I’m with susannah. At this point, it’s better just to get rid of Tina. Bette’s not allowed to move on, but she is? What the hell is that about?! I loved the bit of dialogue between Shane, Stevie, Bette and Tina… that was brilliant. I don’t know what Shane’s deal is; they don’t have to react to situations the same way. Anyway, I’m hooked.
(Which is saying a lot, because I never read fics that aren’t Tibette)

I don’t believe it is over between stevie and Bette, Uh Uh! these two are great together!, why dont shane go away for a minute, and Tina, well can she just walk off the face of this earth! And as for Shane….Just because she fucked up with Carmen, Stevie will with Bette? Shane needs to stop putting negative thoughts in Stevie’s mind! Some “sister” she only ever has bad things to say. What happened to encouragement that she seems to be fixing her life! *deep breath* My poor favorite couple..
Also, does Kit own the Planet in this story?? So Tina has the nerve to come to Bette’s sister’s restaurant and get all bent cos Bette is there, and tells her there who Bette can date or not date or forget about seeing the baby. WHO does f***ing Tina think she IS?

Have they all gone mad. Tina, shut the fuck up. You made your choice,apparantly your not happy with it, but stop blaming Bette. Shane, get over yourself, what because your miserable, no one else should be happy. Bette and Stevie, stop listening to the others and follow your heart.
