Shane started to smile. The she remembered where she was and kept the smile to herself. So when Alice asked her if she knew something, she shook her head. The smile got bigger in her head.

Bette walked to the back of the Planet to talk to her sister.

“Kit!”

“Baby sis.”

Kit gave her sister a look Bette didn’t understand.

“Can I talk to you for a minute?”

“We sure need to talk, come into my office.” Kit replied.

Now it was Bette’s turn to be surprised. She wanted to talk to her sister and now her sister tells her they need to talk………

“Sit down Bette. Now what happened. Tina just called me and she was crying,……..what the hell did you do? And don’t try to sweet talk yourself out of this.”

Bette was flabbergested. And in being so she stuttered.

“I……I…….nothing, damn you Kit. You always choose sides with Tina. We’re family. You’re suppose to be on my side.”

“Do you want me to repeat myself? I said, don’t try to sweet talk yourself out of this. What the fuck did you do to my baby girl?”

Kit stood up and was standing in front of her sister, one hand in her side, tapping her foot on the floor. Now Bette knew she was in deep trouble. She started to sweat.

“She asked me to go to a store, somewhere, I forgot the adress……….”

“Which is not unusual for you to do. Let me guess, you forgot to go?”

“Yes, Bette said with a timid voice.

“What did you say….?”

“I said yes, damned Kit. It was a busy day at work. It completely slipped my mind! Don’t tell me you don’t forget things?”

“To avoid me forgetting things, I write them down. And when the person I would die for asks me to get her something, that would be the first thing on my list. Bette, you should be ashamed of yourself. Tina never forgets if you ask her to do something for you. What was it you had on your mind?”

“Can’t say.”

“What? How come you can’t say. A few minutes ago you said we were family. So as your family I’m asking you what you had on your mind……?”
