Bette looked at her sister with tears in her eyes………..Kit softened her act………..she looked at her sister and shook her head……….

Bette looked down at the floor.

“I was so into the preparation for a holiday. Tina worked real hard lately and she was tired. So I was planning to take her away to the Maldives and propose to her. But it seems that I fucked up big time!

I never saw her like this Kit. Her voice was soft but it gave me the chills.”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, hormones working. You’re a horndog.”

“No Kit, no physical attraction this time. I saw a Tina I never saw before. Now I understand when she gets mad at work, why her staff members are afraid. There was no room for negotiation. The only choice I had was to leave or get hurt in one way or another. It was the first time I was actually afraid of her.”

Kit looked at her sister. She felt torn. Now she was in the  middle of a prank that could go wrong completely. She couldn’t tell Tina to stop because she heard her sister’s reason. Her sister was an oldfashioned romantic. Kit sighed.

“Well baby girl, I’m afraid you will have to tell Tina the true reason why you forgot whatever it was you had to do for her. What was it anyway?”

“To tell you the truth, I don’t know. She wrote it down on a piece of paper and I put it my purse. Wait let me get it.”

Bette took the paper out of her purse and handed it over to Kit. When Kit read it her eyes got big and then she started to laugh. When Kit truly laughed she had that rich warm, deep laughter.

“What’s so funny?”

“I’ll leave alone. You better look this adress up for yourself. You can use my computer.”

Still laughing Kit left her office. Bette stood up and walked to Kit’s desk. When she found out what it was Tina wanted her to get, she was speecheless. Then she started to laugh………….

“Christina Kennard, baby, you’re gonna pay for this……………”

She made a call to the store and placed an order. Telling them she was going to pick it up by herself within the next hour. When she walked out of Kit’s office, she bumped into Tina who was on her way to the restroom. She had to stay in character now, act as if she didn’t know what it was Tina wanted her to get.
