Bette had never seen anything more beautiful, and suddenly something in her heart clicked.

It was already the second act, and the actors were acting out the story of Mary Magdalene, where Jesus says, “he who is free of sin, cast the first stone.”

Bette couldn’t wait any longer, so she just blurted it out, “Tina, move in with me.”

Tina turned to look at Bette in surprise. The sweet guitar music of Tina’s favorite song in the musical started as her jaw dropped in shock.

Where are you going?                                                                                                                            Where are you going?                                                                                                                                Can you take me with you?                                                                                                                         For my hand is cold and needs warmth                                                                                                     Where are you going?

“Bette I don’t know what to say,” Tina said in surprise.

“You love me like I love you right?” Bette said, “and you basically live at my house anyways.”

Tina smiled as tears started brimming in her eyes, both because of the beauty of the song, and Bette’s preposition.

“Yes, I will move in with you,” Tina smiled.

Far beyond where the horizon lies                                                                                                             Where the horizon lies                                                                                                                                And the land sinks into mellow blueness                                                                                                      Oh please, take me with you

The end of the show brought Bette to tears along with Tina. Seeing the pain in Jesus eyes, when Judas betrayed him and chaos ensued around him. Some of his disciples joined Judas, but some fought for him.

Then Jesus stopped it all with his final words, “thy will be done.”

It was so beautiful. Unlike anything Bette had ever seen, no wonder Tina loved it. It made her realize that even in the regular society, there was still Judases and Jesuses. People who may have been a friend, who betray for a petty reason.

Let me skip the road with you                                                                                                                         I can dare myself                                                                                                                                             I can dare myself                                                                                                                                             I put a pebble in my shoe                                                                                                                           And watch me walk                                                                                                                                          I can walk and walk

Bette and Tina walked into the hotel room they had booked for their short stay in New York and moved to the bed.

“Wow, Tina, that was amazing,” Bette said taking off her earrings.

Tina sat on the bed with a smile and started taking off her heels, “it’s like you know Jesus, you know?”
