Chapter 10
Bette & Tina woke up early, and got Angelica ready to go to the Planet to meet the girls, and deliver the letters from Dana to them. Bette had called them last night after they left the Planet to meet for breakfast. Since they were running a little behind schedule, Bette was pretty sure Kit has filled them in with everything that has transpired in the last 24 hours, while they were waiting for them to arrive.
Kit kept glancing to the door, she was a little nervous to see Bette this morning, they had a lot to talk about, and she was hoping Bette would forgive her. As she looked up for the third time, Bette and Tina were walking through the door, Bette was holding Angelica, and her other arm was around Tina’s waist. She wanted to keep them close to her.
” Good Morning everyone, sorry we are late” Tina said as she made the rounds to kiss each of the women’s cheek. Bette placed Angelica in Kit’s lap and kissed her hello. And then turned to say hi to everyone else. Kit was feeling very grateful as she hugged Angelica. Kit let the breath out she was holding, maybe it was going to turn out for them after all.
I guess Kit filled you in about my new sister? Everyone nodded. Well, it has been a bit of a shock as well as finding out my mother is still alive. But, I have thought a lot about it, and I feel I should be thankful, I mean how many people get a second chance, to see someone they loved? And I would like to take the time and explore a relationship with my newfound sister. I hope all of you; will also welcome her into our family.” Bette reached for Tina’s hand and continued speaking. Her name is Rebecca Larsen; she happens to be a nurse at the St. Alexus the hospital Dana was in. She became friends with Dana, and helped her compose some letters for all of us,” As Tina stood to pass them around, “I am sure you will want to read them privately. Bette pauses as Alice takes her letter from Tina, with tears welling in her eyes, she says ” I have to go guys, and I will talk to you later. Bette, I am happy for you, that your mom is still alive, I will be looking forward to meeting Becky” Alice walks fast to the exit, Bette gets up quickly and follows her, ” Alice wait, Let me be there for you” Alice turns to Bette and lets the tears fall, I will be ok Bette, I really need to be alone to read this. Do you understand? She looks up at her with tear stained eyes. Yes Alice I do, If you need me, just call, I will always be here for you, Bette hugs Alice and lets her go.

This is a great story. When I found out that Dana was going to die I thought that it would have been appropriate for Dana to have written them all letters so when I started reading your story I was so glad to see that someone was writing that. I am the biggest Danish fan and am sad to see my favorite couple will no longer be, so I can’t wait to read Dana’s letter to Alice. Keep it up!

You know, I can’t believe I overlooked this story. I just went back and read ever chapter. This is such a great story. I cannot wait for another chapter.
Bette has a good forgiving heart. She puts on a hard shell out side and to other people. Inside she is very soft and caring and hurts very easy. Kit is good also.oor Alice she will need the whole gang,as will Shane thanks

I am not easely moved to tears, but i am by this entire story. It is so incredably moving, that i can not wait to read more. You have a very nice and touching way of writting.
Great update SG1. It’s good that in the face of Dana’s death, every one is contemplative and forgiving. Bette is forgiving of Kit for keeping secrets and she is also willing to embrace her newly found family. I hope Alice doesn’t have too hard a time with Dana’s letter. I can’t wait to see the contents of that one. Keep it coming.
There have been many tears this season, and loosing one of the gang has been extremely painful. The letters that you had Dana write have helped put a little closure to this loss of life. Now, here is Bette dealing with the loss of her friend and now coming face to face with her mother who is also dying. I hope that Bette will allow Tina and the others to be there for her. This is the time that she needs to lean on the others and not block them out because of the pain. Thank you for this story and of course for Tina being in Bette’s life.
