    Sometimes you don’t know what you’ve been missing until you experience it with someone else

    Bette watched as her girlfriend’s amused smile quickly edge into a frown before she threw her head back in exasperation.

    "Come on baby, we talked about this. You know art galleries really aren’t my thing, they bore the shit out of me. Besides, you know I have that charity thing to go to"

    Ava fought the urge to roll her eyes as she watched Bette’s reflection in the mirror. She had been enjoying the way Bette was staring so hungrily in the mirror until she ruined the mood by bringing up a dead subject. Well dead to her anyway, Ava hated talking about things more than once . . or talking at all anyway. Talking was just so . . boring.

    Besides, Bette knew well enough that she didn’t have a taste for art whatsoever so this "talk" was pointless as far as Ava was concerned. Why couldn’t Bette just drop it, fuck her and let that be the end of it?

    Regardless of the fact that she received the same answer as every other time she asked before, Bette was still hurt and disappointed that Ava seriously refused to attend an event that was so special to her. Over the years, Bette had grown to love Ava a great deal and even though it might not have been the type of love Bette always imagined it to be, she knew deep down she would do anything for Ava. It really bothered her that Ava didn’t exactly feel the same. Was it that wrong to want your girlfriend to physically support you during one of the most important nights of your life?

    "I know but this isn’t just any art gallery. Jodi is doing me a big favor by showing my work there tomorrow night and it would really mean the world to me if you came" Bette sighed, hoping that maybe she would finally reach some sort of sympathy with Ava. All she saw was irritation and it made her sigh again.

    "Why do you even want to do this anyway? You’re a music producer, Bette not an artist. Why don’t you just stick to something you’re good at?" Ava sighed heavily, extremely irritated with the fact that Bette didn’t let the subject drop. She saw the hurt and anger in Bette’s eyes and immediately regretted what she said. At this rate, she wasn’t going to get laid so she knew she had to fix it.

    11. Excellent start. Bette needs to leave Ava, simply to see that she can be alone (for a while, anyway). Not having her girlfriend’s support to pursue other interests, even if it winds up misfiring, is not good. Bette (and anyone in that situation) can do better. Frankly the first 2-3 pages was damping the spirit as Bette was being tricked, tempted, and manipulated so easily.. And what the ****… Jodi!! >_< argh! Its too much!!...     18. Please continue, great start, except for Ava. Please give Bette some backbone to dump Ava. Hope it is Bette’s house they are living in so she can tell bitch ava to pack her sh** and get out. Very interesting beginning, like the music aspect, no art galleries, no CAC. yay.
