    At first sight

In the bedroom, the monitor register another double bleep and returned to its steady rhythm punctuating the night away.
The sun had already risen high in the sky the next day and the room was bathed in brightness that even the blinds on the windows could not keep at bay.
The rhythm of the monitor jumped suddenly once again. This time though, the cadence of the beeping was increasing and showed no sign of steadying.
The woman stirred slightly and let out a quiet groan. Her pupils were becoming agitated under her eyelids.
The door of the room suddenly flew opened and a nurse stormed in. She had been alerted back at the nurses’ station that  the monitoring equipment had registered  unusual activity. She quickly walked to the side of the bed was now observing the patient.
    "She is waking up!"
She immediately ran out of the room again and alerted the staff that the coma patient was regaining consciousness.
She returned to the room. The woman in the bed was now a lot more agitated. The nurse reached for the bedside barriers and raised them to prevent the patient from falling out of bed. She grabbed on the woman’s wrists softly and quickly placed light restraints to protect the patient from injuring herself. Waking up from a coma was not always a serene experience.
The nurse was gently calling out to her. She wanted her to know that there was someone in the room with her.
In the bed, her body felt heavy and numb, no pain to talk about but a feeling of extreme tiredness. Tiredness like she had never felt before. She wanted to move but her arms and legs were too heavy, like giant rods of steel for which she did not have the strength.
She heard a commotion around her, but could not understand what was being said. She tried to open her eyes, everything was  blurred, light and darkness came and went as consciousness faded in and out.
She couldn’t tell if she was dreaming or not.
One moment she felt the rain falling on her face, she was climbing stairs and falling forward at the same time, she heard a voice, a soft loving voice, a woman’s voice  but she couldn’t see her face.
The next she felt her body being moved around the bed and the commotion was back. Incessant talking, loud talking and noises from machines.
Maybe she needed to sleep some more, God, she was tired, but there seems to be too much going on around her, too much noise.
She tried re-opening her eyes again and that alone seemed to trigger even more commotion in the room. Gradually things were becoming clearer in her mind, she was in hospital. She heard an exited voice say that she was awake and more people came running in and settled around her. Her eyes were opened but everything was blurred. It hurt to focus. She closed them again. A man’s voice asked if she knew her name. She tried to answer the voice.
"T……Tina" she rasped. It added to her confusion, she did not recognise her voice.

    1. Wow! She had dreamt about Bette and Dana while it was in coma, for this motive in his dream Tina was not seeing. Excellent plot. /// Huummm!! It will be which Bette will not find Tina in the hospital when she return????

    2. HEy kins, OMG! OMG! OMG! Tina is re-entering the world onf the living. SHe has been in a state of suspended animation long enough. Now, I really want to read if and how Bette remains in Tina’s life. Will Bette be the rock; there to support, encourage and nurture Tina’s recovery. Will a budding romance begin during Tina convalence? Whatever the answers I can assume a brilliant read. Many thanks and more soon please. 3. Hmmmm, this is very intriguing. I was kinda hoping the Bette she met in her dream was the real Bette instead of the one who found her after the car accident. The way they met and immediately connected was so sweet.
