    Babe Chapter 8

“Babe, where are you?” Tina called as she entered the house.  Dropping her briefcase and keys on the entry table she listened for sounds of Bette, her fiery Amazon Queen, and their Princess daughter, Angelica. They had come so far over the last two months, further she mused, then the whole year put together when they had been actively trying to reconstruct their family.

Walking through the house she heard a splash of water which drew her to the patio off the pool.  She stood there, just inside the French doors watching as Bette and Angie, played together in the pool.  A sense of joy and peace filled her.  She was home.  The demanding Queen and Princess were her joy.  What more could I want? The thought came unbidden to her mind.  She wanted it all.  She wanted to come home fully.  She stepped onto the patio.  The click of her heels on the stone brought Angie’s head around.

“Mommy!”  She squealed splashing the water more forcefully.  “Mommy.”

Tina smiled.  Angelica had settled some time ago how to differentiate between Momma T and Momma B.  The Queen was Momma and she was Mommy.  It was music to her ears.  Tina blew kisses to baby Angie who was trying to maneuver herself with her water wings closer to Mommy.

Bette turned and greeted her with a smile. Scooping up the excited Angelica she climbed up the stairs and out of the water.  Tina couldn’t help but appreciate the firm thigh and strong arm muscles which rippled as her Queen rose out of the water.  She was unaware that she had licked her lips until she caught the slight smirk on Bette’s face.  She arched a brow conceding she had been caught, she grabbed a towel just in time to catch Angel as she hurtled her small body toward her.

“Hi, Princess.”  She lifted her up and Angel hugged her and rested her head against Tina’s shoulder.  “Did you have fun in the water?”

Angel’s head popped up and with her small arm pointed “wata”.

“That’s right” Tina beamed.  “Water” she enunciated clearly.

She felt her Queen beside her.  Warmth like the sun spread through her.  Bette leaned over and kissed her lightly on her lips.  Bette’s presence always had the same effect on her.  She felt sexy and loved.  When the three of them were together it felt like home. She was again overcome by the sensation of how right it felt to be here.

    1. How can two woman who love each other as much as Bette and Tina do hurt each other to the extent that they have? I guess when you really love someone and it all falls apart that there is never regaining your balance. Hopefully that balance will return for Bette and Tina.

    2. It probably wn’t be as much fun as their sleepovers, but this conversation definitely needs to be had… awesome job with it so far; they probably will be better for not jumping all the way back into EVERYTHING.

    3. This is a conversation they need to have. Bette was right she heard this before. I understand her being apprehensive. Just because 2 months has passed dosen’t mean everything is all good. They both have to work at this. I love the way you are telling this story…amazing.

    4. Excellente! Muy bueno! Love it. You didn’t OD on sentiments and you kept Bette and Tina honest in terms of their ‘feelings’. The words you used helped to paint a lovely picture; you mixed the narrative and the descriptive elements very nicely and thus, the story flows smoother. Please keep writing and as always I’m happy to help :)
