    Moving on.

    Alice drifted over to the side and was stepping out, “She had to practice, I don’t know, some tournament thing, so, did you hear from Shane?” Bette shook her head, “No, I was about to ask you the same thing.”

    “Well, I haven’t heard a peep.”

    “Have you looked for her?”

    “No, no, I learned my lesson. This time if she wants me in her life she’s going to have to invite me.”

    “Good girl,” Bette said, walking into the house. “Listen, I was going to ask you both but since Dana’s not here, I want to have a dinner party in a couple weeks. My father is coming to town.”

    “Oh boy,” Alice said, wrapping a towel around her waist. “Are you sure, I mean, are you inviting us?”

    Bette said, “Of course I am,” as she walked off toward the bedroom, with Alice following closely behind. “It’s just, the last time we saw him, I got the feeling he never wanted to see me again.”

    “What gave you that idea?”

    “Well, I think it was when he said, I never want to see you again.”

    “Ah, well maybe this time you won’t hit him in the balls…”

    “Accident! Total accident—who knew he’d be coming out of the bathroom at that exact moment?”

    “Yeah, well, I’m sure he’s forgotten about the whole thing,” Bette said, throwing clothes onto the bed. “What are you moving out?”

    “No, I’m just staying with Tina while she recuperates.”

    “Ah,” Alice said, dropping her body onto the bed. “So, I’ve been meaning to ask you something, but you’ve been so busy, what with your past catching up to you, and all…”

    Bette rolled her eyes as Alice continued, “But, let’s just say you were dating someone, not exclusively, because you’re dating other people too—but this person, this is the person you want to spend all of your time with.”

    “You already spend all of your time with Dana—I’m assuming that’s who we’re talking about.”

    When the doorbell rang, Alice quickly said, “Okay, if that’s her, we weren’t having this conversation!” Bette smiled an evil smile as she walked off toward the door. “I’m not kidding, Bette, I’ll kick your father’s balls so hard…”

    1. Glad to see this one back.Hopefully Shane shows up so the girls can become closer.I also hope Tina moves in with Bette so they can move past the illness and build a life together.

    4. Shane will show up when she is ready. Hope that Tina does move in with Bette,good old Melvin will try to play hell with Bette and Tina Lets see how strong Bettes love for Tina is, will she stand up to him. thanks

    5. Hhmmph…Bette is being just a tad ungrateful to Shane considering Shane may have just saved Tina’s life. I know Bette’s got some issues going on in her head about the sister thing and Melvin coming, but she needs to recognize the sacrifice Shane made for both of them. Tina should definitely move in with Bette. Can’t wait for your next post Girl!

    7. I wonder where Shane is? So Bette’s father is going to make his presence known to Tina and the others. I can’t wait to read about the dinner party.

    11. Wrong answer Bette Tina wants Shane to be a part of thier lives. Melvin coming is just going to make things worse he won’t want to have anything to do with Shane or Tina, especially after he finds out they all know the secreat now.

    12. Hope Tina makes the decision to move in with Bette, they need each other now. Melvin will be his usual “ass” self and not accept either of the girls or the circumstance. PPS
