    Chapter 10

     

    Friday

     

     It was Friday and Bette was so glad because she was ready to see Tina again. Bette and Tina were unable to meet up at the Planet for coffee.

     

    Bette: James could you come here please

     

     

    James: You wanted to see me?

     

    Bette: Yes, please send Ms. Tina Kennard over at Alphaville Studio’s 1 dozen of pink and yellow lilies.

     

    James: Will do!

     

    Alphaville Studio

     

      Tina had not been able to think about anything besides Bette Porter and her date with her tonight but when the pink and yellow lilies arrived she was done. Nothing else mattered but Ms. Bette Porter.

     

    James: Bette Porter’s office

     

    Tina: Hi, may name is Tina Kennard I would like to speak with Bette please.

     

    James: Hold please

     

    James: Bette you have a Tina Kennard on line 1

     

    Bette: (smiling big) thank you James.

     

    Bette: Hello Tina an how are you?

     

    Tina: I am wonderful and thank you so much for the flowers they are beautiful.

     

    Bette: You are welcome! So how busy are you today?

     

    Tina: I should be running around here like a chicken with my head cut off but I am calm. What about your day?

     

    Bette: I think I will be able to get out of here in a few hours.

     

    Tina: You are a lucky woman because I do not see me leaving anytime soon.

     

    Bette: Well do remember you have a date with the smartest Ivy League grad that you have ever met.

     

    Tina: Don’t worry Ms. Ivy league I have not forgot about our date. You and our date are the only things I have thought of all day.

     

    Bette: I have thought of you too and I can’t wait to see you tonight.

     

    Tina: I will pick you up at 7 at your place.

     

    Bette: I will be ready.

     

    Tina: Bette I hate to cut our conversation but for me to get out of here I need to get some work done.

     

    Bette: Okay, bye

     

    Tina: Bye
