    Getting to know you

     

    Bette was floored.  She was so used to people having opinions and comments about your actions.  It felt good not to be judged for once.

     

    Bette:  “Well now that you know my whole life story.   Let’s have yours.”

     

    Harmony:  “Wow.  Well.  I was born on a small reservation in Texas.  Most people born on the reservation spend their life there and die there.  But I was determined to do more.  I left and went to college in New York.  My parents weren’t thrilled but education and self betterment is always positive with my people so they supported me as much as they could.  Unfortunately that wasn’t t very much financially.  So I worked my way through college.  I studied abroad in Japan and London.  I went to grad school in Paris.  I came out in grad school.  My parents were not the happiest about it but they took it relatively well.  As long as I’m happy and in love they’re satisfied.  I have a brother that can carry on the family name so my father is pretty satisfied.  After I graduated I moved to L.A.  I wanted to be close to my family but not too close.  Don’t get me wrong I love them but the traditional Native American life just isn’t for me.  So I’ve been here  for about 15 years.  Now here I am.”

     

    Bette:  “Well I’m glad you’re here.”

     

    Harmony:  “Me too.”

     

    They again just sat and looked as each other.  Harmony slid closer to Bette in the booth after the waitress took away their plates.  Harmony wasn’t actually touching Bette but she could still feel the heat coming off her body.  It made Bette feel light headed.

     

    Harmony:  “So, Bette.  What do you want?”

     

    Bette turned and faced her.  They’re faces inches apart.

     

    Bette:  “Want?”

     

    Harmony nodded.

     

    Bette:  “How do you mean?”

     

    Harmony:  “However you want it to mean.”

    Bette and Harmony sat face to face looking at each other.  Harmony’s eyes were on fire.

     

    Bette:  “I want.I want”

     

    Waitress:  “Here’s your check.  Whenever you’re ready.”

     

    Harmony:  “Thank you.”

     

    Bette reached for the check but Harmony got it before she could.

     

    Bette:  “This is Your thank you dinner.  Remember?”

There is such a natural flow to this story, your dialogue is perfect and the cast is to die for…I liked MK enough, but never truely died for her…now Harmony here, there is just something about their pairing that makes it right…pls more chapters it’s so easy to read and get lost in…thankyou..

    10. I really love the way you capture the feelings between each character including the baby. I also love how you post often. You don’t leave your fans hanging for to long, you don’t leave us hanging at all. Its like reading a book. Maybe you should consider. Hint!!!!!!. No all jokes aside you are an excellant writer. I really can not wait to read your next chapter. I am hoping it’ll start to warm up.
