“I know the ones. I’ve noticed you checking me out when I wear them. You’re not very subtle my love. Why do you think they are my favorite?”

“Well you’re hardly subtle yourself doc, you’ve been talking to my chest this whole time. My eyes are up here.” Bette slowly raises her chocolate brown eyes to meet hazel green ones and they smile at each other.

Moving away from Bette momentarily Tina walks to the wall switch and turns off all the lights so the only illumination in the room is from the fireplace and candles. She returns to the mat and pulls Bette down. They get into a sitting position face to face Indian style holding hands.

“I want us to do something really special tonight.”

“What’s that?”

“I want you to take a journey with me babe. Will you come?” Tina whispers.

“I’ll go anywhere with you baby. Just lead the way.” Bette can’t say no to anything Tina asks in that moment.

“Let’s start with slow deep breaths. Allow your body to completely relax. Keep breathing and look at me OK.” They spend the next few minutes in silence breathing in and breathing out keeping their gaze steady and continuing to hold hands. Tina wanted them to share a special evening of meditation and promise that spoke to their hearts.

“Our journey is full of fun, laughter, romance, kindness, forgiveness, conversation, passion, and growth. Every day we’ll take time to think of this journey. Every day we will reflect on how powerful this love feels.” Tina moves their hands to rest on each other’s hearts; feeling the powerful heartbeats as the two synchronize with one love. “Feel my love sinking deeper into your heart as yours sinks deeper into mine creating a solid foundation; an unbreakable foundation.” (Excerpts from “Manifest More Love & Romance” by InsideMyVortex.)

Communicating clearly with words and actions was the cement that would seal the foundation. They had to listen to the spoken and unspoken words and create their own unique language of love. With this little ritual they were experiencing their sexuality and sensuality as a conscious meditation; as a flowing together of the physical, sexual and cosmic energies.

“Are we on the same path?” Tina asked, loving that Bette was embracing the spontaneity and engaging in Tina’s impromptu ceremony.
