    Bette’s Dilemma-The Confrontation Pt 2

(Bette addressing Jodi) "I gather then that the information I have is true and that your hearing is not as impaired as you have allowed the world and most particularly the art world to believe."

Another flurry of signing was Jodi’s response. Bette interpreted swiftly, "I can’t believe that you would use that information against me. You said you loved me and you certainly acted as though you did, at least until this woman came between us." Jodi glanced tauntingly toward Tina as she finished " If you did you wouldn’t threaten to reveal this to anyone."

Jealousy heaved inside of Tina at Jodi’s insinuations regarding Bette and Jodi’s lovemaking but she forced her face to betray none of what she felt. It was foolish to deny that Bette hadn’t been sexual with Jodi and she refused to give Jodi the satisfaction she wanted from her comment. Bette’s answer served to only confirm that she had made the right decision.

"If you are implying that my words were a lie Jodi then you never truly knew me. Tina was not the cause of our relationship ending. I won’t lie she wasn’t a part of the reason but we were not working long before I admitted to myself that I have always been in love with her. I could just as easily say that if you meant the things you said to me you would never have stooped to trying to destroy my reputation and end my career but none of this is really the point."

A look of resignation began to creep into Jodi’s face as she signed her response. Forgetting to interpret Bette simply answered what had obviously been a question on Jodi’s part.

"I want you to retract your statements against me with the Board of Directors immediately, and then to retire from the art world. It’s your choice whether you want to give a reason or not. If you do not I won’t allow the world to believe the lie you have projected. I expect your retirement to be within the month. I don’t want to do that Jodi–truly I don’t but I will if you give me no other choice."

Tina watched as defiance sparked in Jodi’s eyes and then as Jodi scanned Bette’s face the realization that Bette would do as she said began to extinguish the defiance.

    1. Bette was so the alpha Bette but much more muture. Jodie felt that Tina would fight for Bette. That said dont mess with my family. Jodie will not work again if she doesnt come clean. To me she cheated the world of Art,by not being trueful. thanks

    2. I am glad that Tina was there to support Bette in the difficult confrontation with Jodi. Bette standing firm and strong with Jodi seems to have closed a door for her and allowed both Tina and Bette to move forward. I look forward to “executive training”. :)

    3. Jodi really is a bitch. How can she blame Bette for protecting herself? It was Jodi who started this mess. If she had not accussed Bette of taking advantage of her then none of this would have happened. Thank you for the post.

    4. loved how B&T worked together so that Jodi realized how serious they were about fighting her accusations & that their relationship was solid….excellent post, bring on the executive training! ;)

    5. this Bette is so mature and amazing, I love the fact that she has grown into a responsible sensitive women, Tina is a great partner and they are incredible together and complete each other, your style is breath taking and so evolved, your story is one of the kind that you want to read more than once. Thank you so much for the never ending pleasure and post soon.

    6. Leesa, this chappy was a delight to read, as you have described thoroughly how Bette has grown as a person and her determination to fight to get her family back, as well as show Tina that she’s more comfortable to let her vulnerable side surface, thereby indicating the complete trust that she said she will put in Tina’s care. Beautiful display of the confrontation. You did an amazing job here. Thanks for sharing. PPS Lucero & Marsha – From Mexico City
