Bette’s Dilemma-The Tightening of the Screw

Only when she looked at her watch did she realized that the minute hand had just now slid onto 12:45. As if on cue Bette’s heart leapt in her chest as she saw Tina’s car pull into the parking lot and head straight toward her. As she watched Tina get out her car and walk the short distance that separated their cars Bette saw that the day had taken its toll on T as well. A flush still lingered on her cheeks and her eyes burned with a brooding warning. Tina opened the door and sat down in the passenger seat, took a deep breath, turned to Bette and before she could even speak a word Bette found her mouth crushed beneath Tina’s. The intensity of the kiss left her head reeling. Almost as suddenly the kiss ended as Tina spoke,
"God I needed that so much. You’re the only piece of sanity in my life right now and I needed to have it so that I can be ready to do this"
Much to her surprise Bette found herself laughing as she spoke still somewhat breathless, "Well I’m certainly not complaining. I gather it was a rough morning. If you need to do that again I’m willing to help in any way I can but I have to admit you are the only woman whose ever said I was their sanity T. It must be love"
Smiling Tina replied, " You are and it is. (Leaning in seductively) Maybe we could do that just once more then we need to get what we came for so we can get on with our lives"
"I agree, baby I agree. There is nothing I want more."
Two rounds and several minutes later the lovers pulled away from each other, and exited the car. Bette was sure Monique was already here, already waiting; it was her style to want the advantage. What Monique didn’t realize is that by arriving first it gave Tina and her the chance to enter together, to present a completely united front.
As they reached the door Bette leaned in and spoke softly, “T, no matter what she says, no matter what she I need you to trust me, to trust my love for you completely."
"I do Bette, and I will but I’m not going to sit by passively and let her try to destroy you either. You have to trust me too."
Bette spoke the words "I do" as they walked through the door together.

I will be waiting patiently for the next chapter. Just who am I kidding…I will be on the edge of my seat waiting to see a united Bette and Tina put Monique in her rightful place…out of their lives forever. Thanks and please please post very SOON!

I can’t wait for Tina and Bette to face this enemy together. Not only does jodi need to be stopped but now so does Monique.
I’m so ready to end this battle. LOL
This is going to be a battle of wills and wits. Firstly, I believe that Tina has done a little reseach on Monique and probably learned something that will be to her and Bette’s advantage, something that will take all the air out of Monique’s sails. After all she has a studio legal department at her disposal. And God only knows what they can find out if needed. Can hardly wait for them to pounce on Monique and leave her reeling. PPS
