Tina’s

Irritation was the first emotion that Tina would later remember of the day. There would be many others to follow but irritation was the first one. She was dragged unwilling back to consciousness by a ringing that would not stop. It took several seconds for her mind to register that it was not some part of her dream. Grunting softly she rolled to see the clock registering 7:30 am. "What the hell…" she mumbled as she reached for the cause of her irritation–the phone on the nightstand. Bette stirred beside her as she propped her head on her hand, her eyes ask the question that Tina’s brain had already been asking What now? Who the hell is calling us at this time?

(Groggily) "Hello,"

Whoever it was and whatever they wanted obviously wasn’t good was Bette’s quick evaluation as Tina sat up abruptly and growled into the phone, "Who the hell does she think she is!" Knowing the best thing she could do right now was give Tina her space Bette reached for her robe, tied it around her waist and headed first to Angelica’s room to see if Boo was still asleep. Finding her baby still lost in the land of her dreams Bette headed to the kitchen to make some coffee. Just as the last of the coffee was draining into the carafe Tina entered the kitchen already dressed for the day. Stalking was the word that Bette’s mind immediately thought as she watched T move toward her and the coffee. Bette fought the surge of desire that flashed through her. Tina’s anger had always made her aroused but now was definitely not the time she reminded herself. Reaching for a cup from the stand beside the coffee maker Bette poured Tina a coffee, handed it to her and then poured one for herself before speaking.

"I gather there is a problem"

Gulping the coffee, Tina barely registered its heat as she spoke, “That would be an understatement. Some set technician that I’m not even really sure who, has decided that she thinks that the studio’s dismissal of Jenny is unethical, voiced her opinion to one of the most controversial and explosive industry magazines! If the interview leaks to the wrong places or if they publish it anywhere the entire integrity of the movie is compromised. The phone call was my notification to get into the studio immediately to put out the fire if that is even possible!"
