    Bette “Tina, Tina, Tina”

    Mel and I were watching TV in the suite while having coffee, relaxing sort of.

     

    Mel:  So babe how long are you going to stay here?

     

    Bette:  Oh just until I have to go back to New York

     

    Mel:  Aww Lizzie Are you ok?

     

    Bette:  yeah I’m good.  So what did you say?

     

    Mel:  Oh I was asking how long before you have to leave LA.

     

    Bette:  Oh haha.  Uhm I dunno.  When do u wanna go back to New York?

     

    Mel:  Up to you.  I have my whole week cleared.  So whenever you’re ready then we can fly to New York together ok?

     

    Bette:  Ok.

     

    I looked at the cup I had in my hands.  Why can’t I act normal with Mel?  It’s only been a week or so that I didn’t see her.  What is the matter with me?  Can’t I just let it slide?  Whatever I’m feeling for Tina?  I mean just for a few minutes, at least when I’m with Mel.

     

    I thought of the time I spent talking with Tina yesterday at The Planet when I got the call from Mel.

    Wait, Tina is coming to my next show?  She is?  OMG this is the greatest news I’ve heard in a while!!!  I could tell I was beaming with happiness but I couldn’t care less.  Tina is coming to my next show and that’s all that matters.

     

    Tina:  And you know what else Bette?

     

    Bette:  What’s that?

     

    Tina:  I

     

    I sighed.  Always something there to spoil things.  But nothing can spoil this mood I’m in right now.  Tina is coming to New York for my show!!!  Woohoo!  I looked at the caller ID It’s Mel.  Oh she probably just woke up.

     

    Bette:  I’m sorry Tina.  Hold that thought.  I have to take this.  It’s Mel.

     

    Tina:  No worries.

     

    I glanced at Tina a few times as I spoke into the cell.  She just smiled at me and I couldn’t help but smile back.

     

    Bette:  Hey yeah, you ok?  At The Planet Yes No Yeah sure Ok. I’ll see you later.  Bye.

     

    I flipped my phone shut.

     

    Tina:  Everything ok?

    12. hey thumbsy!!!! ty for this story! I loved it! I just don’t know what all the whining is about, though! I mean what could possibly be more important in your life than writing FF? OK, besides me. Huh? Certainly not your old dorky bf! So, I don’t want to hear any more talk of putting on the brakes with this story, ya hear? All this about,*using whiny voice* “life is so busy and i’m not sure if anyone is still reading…and my leg hurts and my boyfriend is acting weird, and my doctor says i’m obese(which is soooo not true!)…and i’m running out of real excuses so i’m going to have to start making them up now (that will probably be your next FF chapter–4 pages of excuses!!!LOL) blah, blah, blah…WHATEVER T!!!     15. Oh I loved it. Two months wasn’t that that long. Hey I know all about the life getting in your way part. I am so enjoying not having the selfimposed pressure to get another chapter out. But never the less I love your story and how you tell it. I can’t imagine Mel missing the connection between Tina and Bette. Now we just have to get them to sit down and be honest. I think Tina’s ready and it looks like Bette’s getting close too. I’ll still wait. THanks
