    Busy lives – catching up

“Kelly and Jodi? If they are collaborating then it must mean that they are up to no good. Martha and I have competed for years and though she’s a shrewd business woman she was always ethical in all of our dealings. I doubt very seriously that she would have any part in this. I have great respect for her but I can’t say the same about her daughter. Kelly might have inherited her mother’s business acumen but not her sense of fair play and as for Jodi Lerner I wouldn’t trust her as far as I can throw her.” Peggy was becoming even more enraged as she learned more about Kelly’s scheming also figuring she was Jodi’s financial backer.

“You don’t have to tell me that Peggy. You forget that I know both of them intimately. Bette hadn’t confided all the details to Peggy or Kit of why her friendship broke up with Kelly, or why she despised Jodi Lerner but they knew there was no love lost between Bette and either woman.

“Sounds like you need to watch your back baby sis. You know what they say ‘Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned / Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned.’ You have two of them bitches teaming up? That can only mean trouble.” Kit warned.

“Don’t worry I’ll be careful Kit and I’ll talk to Val again. I just hope that they are not planning to use Val to get at me in some way. They both have the twisted belief that I somehow wronged them.” When Bette had talked to Val the evening before she hadn’t realized the severity of an alliance between her two nemeses.

“I’ll talk to Martha as well and see what I can dig up. If Kelly is going out on her own to cause harm then Martha needs to know what is going on.” Peggy would get to the bottom of this if anyone could.

Helena sat quietly listening to the conversation about Kelly Wentworth. Peggy and Bette didn’t know this but Helena and Kelly also had a past and some unfinished business. She wondered how long it would be before Kelly found out that she was in Los Angeles. Would she try to contact her? Now that things were going so well, the last thing she needed was Kelly coming in and ruining everything. Helena felt a little queasy and excused herself from the breakfast table.

    1. It was a great chapter. Bette and Tina were so sweet at breakfast. I hope it will remain so, but I feel a lot of trouble will come.
Kelly and Jodie sure trouble. I’ve always hated them!
I hope Helena doesn’t cause trouble, and she is more Bette side on this issue.

    2. Loved it BAT. Of course Kelly and Jodi entering make for interesting story but love the way Bette and Tina are interacting with one another. Definitely sweet. Hope they can stay on a united front against the She Devils!
