Tina and Alice sat at the kitchen table the Tina and Alice
sat at the kitchen table the next morning both struggling to keep their eyes
open.
Alice: So what time do you have to be in work?
Tina reached for her cup of coffee and took a long sip.
Tina: Around 10.
Alice: How come I have to be in work at 8 am and little miss
New York princess doesn’t have to be in work until 10?
Tina: I don’t know, Alex said that mornings in New York
don’t start until 10 and nights don’t end till around 3 am.
I’m working?
Alice: I don’t know I thought I’d just walk around a little.
I haven’t been to NYC since I was 11. It looks different. The buildings are
still huge but not as big as they used to be.
Tina: Al, the buildings didn’t get smaller, you got bigger.
Alice disregarded this snide comment.
Alice: So what time should I meet you for lunch like 1? Or
is lunchtime in New York at 4?
Tina shot Alice a look that would melt ice.
Tina: I’ve always loved your sarcasm.
Alice: and I’ve always loved sharing it with you.
Tina stood up and grabbed her messenger bag.
Tina: I think one sounds good. I left my office number on my
desk over there in case you need to reach me.
Alice: Don’t worry about poor little Alice, I can always
find trouble to get into.
Tina: I know that’s what I’m afraid of.
Alice: Are you gonna leave or what?? Your presence is
bothering me!
Tina: Aww Al, I
love you too. By the way you’ll need to buy an outfit.
Alice: For what? Lunch?
Tina: The Tony’s. It’s black tie.
Alice: The what? Do you realize you speak a completely
different language then the rest of the civilized world?
Tina: The Tony’s
Tina spoke slowly which only infuriated Alice.
Alice: I heard that part. What are the Tony’s?
Tina: Ugh. It’s the theatre equivalent of The Oscars for Broadway.
Alice: ohh…gotcha. So when are they?
Tina: Sunday. If you weren’t planning on staying that
long….you are now.
Alice: Wait…is….
Tina read her friend’s mind.
Tina: Yes. She is nominated for best actress so I really
need you there ok?

great rapport between Tina and Alex and now Alex and Alice they’re both looking out for Tinaand I love the sense of humour between them all, it fits in so well with Alice’s character on TLW looking forward to the next chapter
I love this most plausible of alternate scenarios. You are really making this Broadway/NYC theme work. I am totally taken with this plot and in the moment with these characters!

Just loving each chapter more and more. Please don’t be too harsh with Bette. I know this is a different story, but still love her and Tina together. It’s just a match made in heaven, and no matter what the angle, they just got to get back together. They complete each other, balance each other, they just are meant to be together. And, with that said, I love your story. Post soon, please!!!

It’s good digging up dirt but I hope what they find doesn’t ruin Bette’s career, I don’t think Tina would be happy about that.
I love how Bette’s a totally different character – but damn, I still love that woman…so go easy on her ok, hahaha.
Oh, poor Bette, she doesn’t know whats coming, now that alice is in town. Flair, you have created yourself one great storyline. By taking your time and really developing this, this great story can go on forever. Because right now, it’s hard to see how Bette and Tina will ever get back together. But we know in the end, THEY HAVE TO! But later baby, this is too much fun for now.
Alice is going to do something bad, oh no!! i hope she isn’t going to OUT Bette that would be drama with a capital D….i so love this story…
