Can’t Help Falling In Love – Prelude

Alex was the opposite of her twin sister. She didn’t want pants close to her and loved to dress in pink, purple or blue. She had a passion for the saxophone and played it since she was five. She was nine and already loved smooth jazz. Here favorite saxophonist was Euge Groove. She just loved his music. She didn’t have many friends, but she had real ones. She was a little bit of an outcast because she didn’t like pop or rock, she didn’t like sports but liked school instead. She was a Daddy girl. Diego had always wanted a girly girl daughter. Of course, he loved his other kids to and would do everything for them but if he had to choose a favorite, Alex would be his choice. That was for certain.

Bette had just dropped the twin of at school. She walked into the familiar building. She nodded at some of her students that she passed and walked into the teacher’s room. She greeted her colleagues and walked to the little kitchen that was next to the room, wanting some coffee. She felt her phone buzzing in her pocket and grabbed it, looking at the screen, she didn’t notice someone was coming out of the kitchen and bumped into her, making her cell fall out of her hands.

“Shit, I’m sorry, I…” Her voice trailed off when she looked up and into hazel eyes. A weird feeling went through her.

“We both weren’t looking where we were going, you don’t have to apologize” The woman smiled at her, making Bette feel even weirder, in a good way. They both squatted and reached for the phone, touching hands. It was as if an electric heath traveled through her arm, straight to her heart. While she was in shock of the feeling, the blonde-haired woman grabbed the phone and stood up, Bette following her. Tina smiled when she gave Bette her phone back. Then the brunette finally noticed she hadn’t seen the woman before.

“I have never seen you before. Are you new?” Bette asked.

“Yes, I am. I am taking the place of Ms. Peterson.” The woman answered. “I am an English teacher.”

“Oh, well, what is your name, English teacher?” Bette asked, smiling. The other women chuckled.

“Tina Kennard. What’s yours?” Tina asked.

“Bette Porter.” Bette answered. “I’m an art teacher at the moment.” She added, making Tina smile. The bell rang and the teachers began to walk to their classrooms.

“I hope I’ll see you around, Bette.” Tina said and walked past Bette.

“Yeah, me to.” Bette answered and waited a few moments, trying to wrap her head around the fact that she just felt a weird attraction and a sense of familiarity when she touched Tina and looked into those incredible eyes. It may have been okay if it had been a man but this was with a woman. What the hell was this? She took a deep breath and walking to her classroom. Something strange had just happened and she couldn’t quite understand what it exactly was…
