    Chandelier – 15

Tina opened the door, and found Bette standing on her front step. Okay, she decided, she was overworked, stressed, sleepy, and hallucinating. Or she really needed to get laid. "Bette?"

"Hi." Bette said, smiling weakly, but her eyes visibly lighting up at the sight of the blonde. "Did I wake you?"

"No, I was just…" Tina only looked at her.

"What am I doing here." Bette guessed was the unasked question. "Okay. Um…" What could she say that was clever, and not so cheesy, but still related her feelings?

Tina silently looked at her, trying to decide what she’d eaten that would cause this wonderful hallucination.

Bette smiled at her. "I was nowhere near the neighborhood and I thought I’d drop by."

Tina smiled, recognizing a statement she’d once borrowed from the movie Singles, and had used on Bette. She waved vaguely in the direction of the house. "Come in."

Bette stepped in, and glanced around. "So this is where you live."

"This is it," Tina laughed, subtly moving towards the fireplace.

"Fireplace." Bette noted. "Does it work?"

"They said it did, but I really just use it for ambiance." Tina admitted.

"You can take a girl out of Carolina," Bette smiled.

"Actually I just thought it was pretty." Tina replied. She shrugged. "The owner made choices on the house that was purely for aesthetic reasons, which I thought Angelica would appreciate."

"Oh." Bette paused, then smiled again. "I guess she’s sleeping?"

"I’m pretty sure you didn’t drop by at eleven-thirty to check if our daughter’s asleep."

"Guilty." Bette nodded. She glanced outside, noticing the swimming pool in the backyard. She smiled faintly, remembering her thoughts from mere hours earlier. "Think she knows?"

Tina, previously lost in her (very naughty) thoughts of what she could do to Bette in the safety of her own home, snapped back to reality. "Hmm?"

"Angelica. Think her year-old self knows her mommies are separated?"

"Probably." Tina admitted, shrugging. "She gets so restless sometimes."

"I know." Bette smiled. "I can tell."

Goodbye, naughty thoughts of Bette. Tina’s expression slackened.

"I mean, the mess." Bette said quickly, amending the sentiment of her sentence. "I mean –"

    1. this.. is perfection. i forgot how one chapter from you can bring multiple emotions at once. i lol-ed at the opening paragraph, wanted to shake b/t in page 2, and have a shit eating grin by the end of the chapter. bravo. please post soon.

    2. Awwww damn that was beautiful. Love it. Keep writing, keep them talking, keep them loving each other. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanks for the post.

    3. My heart is soaring right now. Bette took it upon herself to reach out to Tina who then reached back to Bette. Little Angelica is the ticket that both of the women can use to get back into each other’s arms. This was an extra sweet surprise and I feel like there may be hope (at least in your story) that these two can get back to some magical times again. Thanks!

    4. this is just perfect…it was missing from the show, i always thought that if B&T would date, they will fall in love with each toher again, or reinforce their love for each other…hopefully in s4…this chapter was brilliant

    5. Perfect, just perfect! I just love your dialogue. B&T were just temporarily diverted from their destiny with one another and are now finding their way back to each other… Thank you, tiff.

    6. Ok 2 things. i have to apologize for never reading your stories before. Clearly I’m an ass. Second, I just caught up on all of them and they are amazing. This story is awesome. Since we will never see the dating thing on the show, I am soo looking forwad to it here. Thanks for takin the time to write.

    7. I can’t believe I had forgotten about them agreeing to date again, but I guess Melvin’s death at the end of S2 just shook them up so much that Tina rushed back into the house and thus we got the flaming bag of dog poo known as S3. So yeah I agree with B&TF. Some people get back together to to find out why they split up in the first place, but B&T should definitely get back together SLOWLY (sorry I’m a slow burn kind of girl) to see what it was that made them fall in love with each other all those years ago. They have both changed, but not to the point that finding that love would be extremely difficult.

    8. Tiff….you make their dialogues so “life like”…..I’m loving their conversations, and can actually visualize the scenes. Please continue…….soon!! Oh…we seriously need this!

    9. I’ve just finished reading all of your charpers of Chandelier. Amazing, excellent en beautiful writing. This is exactly, how season four must develop, I sincerey hope IC is reading your stuff and take some lessons of you skills. Thanks for sharing.
