    Chandelier – 15

Even with a mere thirty minutes left to Friday, the weekend suddenly seemed so much more inviting.

As Tina’s laugh subsided, Bette smiled at her. "Better?"

"Lots." Tina smiled appreciatively at the brunette. "Well, I know you said it wasn’t your purpose, but would you like to see your daughter?"

    Bette brightened. "Sure."

Tina got out of her seat, and turned in the direction of the bedrooms, Bette in tow.

The bedroom was warm in a dark shade of green, with books and toys collected in a bin in a corner of the room. The railed bed housed their sleeping daughter.

Bette tightened her grip on Tina’s hand, surprising both of them at the contact, not having realized when they’d found each other’s hand. "What do you read to her?"

"Winnie Ille Pooh," Tina said, her tone wry.

    "Latin?" Bette guessed.

"Yeah. We saw it at this secondhand book shop and all she could see were the pictures? No amount of telling her it’s not English would dissuade her."

"That sounds familiar." Bette laughed. "So is it safe for me to tell you I have the English version?"

"I figured as much. She lives to torture me." Tina joked, before reaching down and caressing her daughter’s head of brown hair. "She’s gorgeous, isn’t she?"

Bette glanced at Angelica, then at the woman with her, whose other hand remained entwined with her own. "She’s perfect."

Tina smiled, remembering the first time Bette had told her those words, holding Angelica in the hospital. "She’s perfect."

If it was wrong, if it was breaking the rules of this reunion, Bette didn’t care. Her lips sought Tina’s, in affirmation of the steps they were taking to fix the damage of their individual mistakes and mutual misturns.

Tina welcomed Bette’s kiss, grateful that Bette had made that step, destroying the line Tina had promised not to cross on her own accord.

Tina pulled away first, and smiled at Bette. "You’re smooth, aren’t you?"

Bette shrugged. "I was worried you don’t kiss on the first date."

Tina laughed, and held Bette’s hand tightly. "I think I’m going to like dating you."

    1. this.. is perfection. i forgot how one chapter from you can bring multiple emotions at once. i lol-ed at the opening paragraph, wanted to shake b/t in page 2, and have a shit eating grin by the end of the chapter. bravo. please post soon.

    2. Awwww damn that was beautiful. Love it. Keep writing, keep them talking, keep them loving each other. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanks for the post.

    3. My heart is soaring right now. Bette took it upon herself to reach out to Tina who then reached back to Bette. Little Angelica is the ticket that both of the women can use to get back into each other’s arms. This was an extra sweet surprise and I feel like there may be hope (at least in your story) that these two can get back to some magical times again. Thanks!

    4. this is just perfect…it was missing from the show, i always thought that if B&T would date, they will fall in love with each toher again, or reinforce their love for each other…hopefully in s4…this chapter was brilliant

    5. Perfect, just perfect! I just love your dialogue. B&T were just temporarily diverted from their destiny with one another and are now finding their way back to each other… Thank you, tiff.

    6. Ok 2 things. i have to apologize for never reading your stories before. Clearly I’m an ass. Second, I just caught up on all of them and they are amazing. This story is awesome. Since we will never see the dating thing on the show, I am soo looking forwad to it here. Thanks for takin the time to write.

    7. I can’t believe I had forgotten about them agreeing to date again, but I guess Melvin’s death at the end of S2 just shook them up so much that Tina rushed back into the house and thus we got the flaming bag of dog poo known as S3. So yeah I agree with B&TF. Some people get back together to to find out why they split up in the first place, but B&T should definitely get back together SLOWLY (sorry I’m a slow burn kind of girl) to see what it was that made them fall in love with each other all those years ago. They have both changed, but not to the point that finding that love would be extremely difficult.

    8. Tiff….you make their dialogues so “life like”…..I’m loving their conversations, and can actually visualize the scenes. Please continue…….soon!! Oh…we seriously need this!
