The next moment there’s a knock and Shane walks in.

Shane: Doc can I introduce you to this lovely lady Ella and her mom Tina Kennard.”

I look up from my computer and see the most beautiful woman standing in front of me………

Tina: “Hallo Bette.”

Shane: “Aww you guys know each other, that’s nice, well I will leave you.”

Shane turns around and leave, she close the door behind her and all of a sudden it is just me and Tina and little Ella.

Bette: “Hallo Tina it is nice to see you again, hallo Ella I’m Bette and I’m here to help you.”

I get a shy smile from Ella…..

Tina: “This is wrong, I’m not supposed to see you, I need to see Dr Harvey and he needs to help Ella, I need to go Bette.”

She turns around to walk away, to walk out of my life.

Bette: “T wait, please let me help you, I’m just as good as Dr Harvey, please let me have a look and see how we going to help Ella. Please.”

Tina: “No Bette you are not allowed to call me T, this is not right, please just let me go.”

Ella: “Mommy I’m hungry, can we please go and eat something.”

I can see that Tina is near tears, and I don’t know what to do.

Bette: “Well Ella I’m also hungry, if it is ok with your momma we can go down to the cafeteria and have some lunch. There is a playground so you can play.”

I look up at Tina…..

Bette: “Please Tina let me buy you lunch then we can talk a bit and if you decide to leave after that I will respect your decision. Please.”

She looks at me and there is a faint smile on her face.

“Ok cool let’s go and eat. I will listen to what you have to say. Thankyou Bette.”

We go down to the cafeteria and go and sit down. Ella immediately tell us what she wants and then run of to go and play.

Tina: “Ella just be careful please baby.

Ella: “K”

Bette: “Tina it is really nice to see you again. I tried to track you down, but then I got in touch with you mom and she told me that you died in a car accident……”
