Bette: “Actually I have it Al”

Alice: “yeah…with those losers of Dawn and Candace”

Giggles again

Shane: “Al, leave her alone”

Bette: “I wouldn’t expect more for just one-night stand”

Alice: “What you need is a girlfriend to hang out, nothing serious, just to spend time”

Bette: “well, this is what you guys are for, to hang out”

Jane: “Okay, what’s the matter, Bette?”

Silent

Bette: (after a deep sigh) “… look I have a family situation; dad wants me to help with the business over the weekends.  I talked to my adviser, Dr. Rossi, and she refuses to give me permission”

Helena: “Well Bette, she is right, your father doesn’t like you to study science, and you love science”

Bette: “Yeah, but he is urging me and Kit about the family business”

Alice: “Is Kit asking you for help?”

Bette: “No, but I know he is making a hell of her life”

Maura: “Well, there is nothing you could do about that let it go”

Jenny: (looking at a table in the back corner) “Talking about making out, check those two”

Now everybody is looking toward Bo and Lauren lustfully staring each other while touching hands.

The eight girls look intently their two friends until Lauren caught the sight and moved her hand away, and then is when Bo speaks:

Bo: “what!!!”

Alice: “you people should get a room”

Lauren: (flushed) “you are crazy Alice, we are doing nothing, just talking about the genetics project”

Everybody laugh.

After eating something the ten friends, the gang, went shopping and later they had diner and listen to music at the SAC (student activity center).

The gang is the remains of the new student’s orientation group from two years ago when they just started in New CalTech; they share the group house, twelve girls, and fourteen boys, from the twenty-six housemates the twelve excel students, ten girls, and two boys, were convened this morning.

During diner, everybody notices the, now one year, the enigmatic usual tense situation between Frankie and Alice but since three weeks ago all the gang knew the hidden deeds.

At the beginning of their friendship, Alice, Bette and Frankie were something like a three-some. Even though all the girls use to do things together, the three of them were “unique”; they study together, watch movies together went out together, drink together and one morning, one year ago, they woke up together naked in the same bed.
