Chapter 15 – Family Resolution

Tina awakened to find that Bette had rolled over and was facing the other direction from where she was and had settled to sleep last night. She was accustomed to Bette not moving much during the night however it worried her that she did not sense Bette’s movement. At least she didn’t remember it. She eased out of the bed and went to the bathroom and then dressed in her yoga pants and t-shirt and put on some house slippers and headed down stairs. She saw Mary and Margaret already up and, on the patio, enjoying their coffee.

Tina prepared a pot of coffee and prepared some avocado toast and carried the tray upstairs to see if she could entice Bette to get up. When she arrived, Bette was sitting on the side of the bed trying to decide what to do next. The site of the naked bronze skinned woman was always enticing, but she had learned to suppress those desires until a more appropriate time. Tina sat the tray down and went over and greeted Bette.

Tina: Good morning, Sweetheart? Sleep okay?

Tina then leaned over and kiss Bette and waited for a response. Bette gave her a little smirky smile. Tina knew that Bette had slept soundly.

Bette: I slept well. Is that coffee I smell?

Tina: Yeah. Why don’t you put on some clothes and join me on the deck for some coffee and toast? Maybe that will get you in the mood to dress and prepare for the arrival of your family. It may be a little too late to have a regular breakfast.

Bette: What’s the matter, you don’t like seeing me naked?

Tina: Oh, I like it very much. I just do not want to embarrass your mother and Margaret. They are both on the pool deck enjoying their coffee. Personally, I would love to stare at your body all day long. But if I stare at it for very long, I may have to touch as well.

Bette: Okay, I’ll dress. Anything for a cup of that good smelling coffee.

Tina: It’s ready when you are dear.

Bette got up and went to the bathroom and took her clothes with her. Tina quickly made up the bed and then put her tray of food and beverage out on the deck. She wondered it Bette would be cool, so she went and got a blanket out of the closet.
