    They check in and make their way to their room. They walk in and Tina takes a minute to walk around as Bette watches her closely. (Tina) Is that a private pool? (Bette smiles) It is (Tina) And a hot tub on the deck? Bette continues smiling at her. (Tina) And how many nights do

    They check in and make their way to their room. They walk in and Tina takes a minute to walk around as Bette watches her closely.

    (Tina) Is that a private pool?

    (Bette smiles) It is

    (Tina) And a hot tub on the deck?

    Bette continues smiling at her.

    (Tina) And how many nights do we have?

    (Bette) Four

    Tina smiles back at her.

    (Tina) Well it’s no tent, but it will do

    They settle in and have a leisurely swim in the pool before Bette retreats inside to make them an iced tea and Tina settles on a sun lounger.

    Bette returns and places their drinks on the small table alongside the loungers  before moving towards the lounger alongside Tina’s. Tina reaches her hand out towards Bette and smiles.

    (Tina) There’s room for two here

    Bette smiles at her and takes her hand,  settling alongside her. She lies with an arm wrapped around her waist and her head resting on Tina’s chest. Tina pulls her closer and kisses the top of her head as she leans over and has a sip of her iced tea.

    (Tina) Mmmm, thanks baby

    Bette smiles broadly, out of Tina’s line of sight, though Tina notices Bette tighten her hold around her slightly.

    Tina replaces her glass on the table and smiles down at the top of her head as she holds Bette close.

    (Tina) Do you mind me calling you baby?

    (Bette smiles) I like it a lot actually. Though that’s not the first time you’ve called me baby

    (Tina smiles) I know, the first time outside of the bedroom

    (Bette smiles) Or the tent

    She plants a gentle kiss on Tina’s chest.

    (Bette) Or the car

    Tina smiles as she runs her fingers gently through Bette’s hair.

    (Tina) I’m glad you like it, I like saying it to you

    (Bette smiles) I’m glad

    Bette sighs.

    (Bette) Though I’m sure you say it to all the girls

    (Tina laughs) I’ve never said it before actually. I’m not really sure where it came from, it just comes out with you

    Bette raises her head and looks at her, as Tina smiles at her while removing a stray curl from Bette’s eyes.

    (Bette) I like that

    (Tina) I thought you might

    Tina smiles and pulls Bette towards her for a gentle kiss that quickly becomes more heated.

    Tina glances around at the fence surrounding their courtyard.

    (Tina) How private is this private pool?

    (Bette smiles) Very private

    They smile at each other as Bette repositions herself and moves her body over Tina’s.

    2. Enjoying your story. What a great time they are having with each other. Love their sense of humor. The tent at the hotel was hysterical. Neither one of them will ever forget this trip.

    3. I enjoyed this chapter, and am loving this story.

      My favorite parts of this chapter –

      the tent, I laughed out loud – Tina let Bette drive – and them talking about Tina calling Bette baby Love it!

    4. Loving this story! Tina has a great sense of humour and is obviously ‘breaking’ Bette down. Who would have though Bette would spend the night in a tent, although it seems Tina made it worth while !
