    Chapter 3

Finally getting some time away from the ever-prying eyes of my mom and Schecter was an unexpected treat for the day. Wandering aimlessly through the stores I inevitably found myself outside the old movie theatre, this was my haven, the old projectionist, Joe, often let me hide out and watch the old films when I was having a bad day.

The theatre was a relic of the town, once the epicentre of entertainment, the city and technology had soon grown up and around the old theatre, and its one screen just couldn’t compete with the multiplex down the street. However, Joe and the theatre still stood and operated for the few traditionalists that were left. My great aunt had first introduced me to this place when I was about 8 years old, she remembered the theatre in its prime and couldn’t resist dragging me down memory lane with her on one of her visits back home. I remember falling in love with cinema on that trip, spending days watching classics like Singing in the Rain, The Wizard of Oz, and Gone with the Wind. I also remember the hours upon hours my aunt spent telling me I was far too young to go the Hitchcock marathon. How that woman put up with me I have no idea.

Knowing that I’d be in a world of trouble if I missed dinner, I reluctantly pulled myself away from the theatre and started heading for the bus back home.

“Ok, I want an essay on the major themes of the book, how did it reflect life at the time it was released and does it have any bearing on life in the present time? Essay done by Monday and please keep all forms of pet away from it, there will be no extensions.”

“But miss, it’s the weekend. You can’t possibly expect us to read a whole book and write an essay about it in two days.”

“Yeah, and like, the winter formal is in a month. We have to go dress shopping!”

Ahhh, Kelly Freemont and her clone. When they’re in the room the collective IQ drops in solidarity Looking over at Miss Porter, I try to hold back a laugh at her exasperated reaction.

    2. WoW what a twist U put at the end of this chptr!!! Hmmm wonder if Kate is watching this scene???

It seems that Bette has crossed a line. The Teacher to student one. VanityFan, what have U planned clever One???

    3. Love this story!

Poor Dana, so in the closet and not knowing it and upset, hope she calms down and won’t say anything.

Tina kissing Bette like this and Bette is or will be in deep trouble if it comes out she kissed Tina although it was Tina who thought she was kissing Kate.

I think we know how this will end, Bette in prison for having a relationship with a student and my guess Jenny have something to do with that.

      Looking forward to read more!
